Here is another photo of mine that demonstrates a minimalist mentality.
Taken during our 2012 trip throughout Ghana, West Africa while we were researching wound management in villages with a camera known for durability: a Olympus Tough TG2 (waterproof shockproof) camera.

A few carefully cut wood shavings glued onto a shoe-polish blackened board creates a complete message: no additional words required.
