On one of many trips to Mexico I had the opportunity to take a rickety, ramshackle van from the city of Oaxaca to the small town of Puerto Escondido. In an area known for it's insatiable ability to party through the evening while still waking up early to go surfing I was surprised to find what appeared to be a concrete husk of a long abandoned church. It was only later I found out this building is called the 'Catedral De Puerto Escondido' and is actually under construction. Or rather, construction was started over a decade ago and has shown little sign of progressing or concluding ever since. Enjoy!!!
