SteemitPhotoChallenge #43 - Dereliction Entry 2 (Assorted Discombombulation)

Derelict definition

ˈdɛrəlɪkt/
adjective
adjective: derelict

1.
in a very poor condition as a result of disuse and neglect.

I've tried to think around Dereliction for this challenge in ways which are not immediately apparent but match the dictionary definition in a more literal translation. We think of old buildings but there are many things in poor condition as a result of disuse and neglect.

This set of bent railings on London Field really caught my eye as completely out of place as if a small Godzilla had wandered by wreaking a trail of havoc and destruction.

A Shadow of former shop signage blown out with pollution makes it still visible. One of the poorliest looking shops in London.

This image comes from my abandoned shoes collection. Every since being a child, I've been disturbed by the untold story behind abandoned shoes on the street. I have quite a large collection (photos) and every one hints at a bizarre, sad and unknown narrative. It's because they are often left in a configuration of a pair that you can almost see the derelict feet that lived in them. Sometimes neatly together, other times looking very violent and discombombulated.

Part of my Dead Insect Collection. It doesn't get more derelict than this.. cobwebbed and sucked dry, it's nothing more than a dry chitin husk. Questions about bodies, death, humanity and what it means to decay are infused in this ongoing series.
