steemitphotochallenge #31 - Entry 1 - Heidi

Traditional Photography. No digital manipulation. This Image was previously posted on steemit when i first joined in July but has not been entered into any steemitphotochallenge. I entered this image because i feel it fits the brief well.

Taken on 5"x4" plate camera using Polaroid type 55 film which gives an instant print and a negative.
All cropping done in camera.
The image was hand printed using 2 type 55 negatives overlayed in the enlarger.
1 negative with branches/foliage, 2nd negative with portrait.

Also on the portrait negative I encouraged crystals to grow across its surface which you can see in the final image.

The final Black and White print was then chemically bleached, hand toned and tinted.
