Star Guardian Poppy - Portrait Traditional Drawing

Hi guys! I just want to share my artwork. This is Poppy, the keeper of the hammer from the League of Legends! 😁

Here's my reference by the way.

I want to share how did I do my artwork. And I will be telling it to you step by step. So stay with me guys. 😁

Step 1

I used the Drawing Grid Maker and created grid lines for my drawing. I input these features to create my desired grid line alignment: 8 rows and Square. It will automatically put column lines if both features are input.

Then, I drew 9 horizontal lines and 10 vertical lines. I used the line in the half part of a ruler to create perfectly measured squares.

Step 2

I drew the outline of my drawing.

Step 3

Before detailing, I erased the grid lines. It will be left if details were drawn first before erasing. Then, I added details on the eye first. (I detailed it first because for me it is the hardest part in drawing portrait arts.) Then I detailed her nose and lips.

Step 4

Then, I detailed her face according to her light exposure and made her outlines more visible.

Step 5

Next, I detailed her armor.

Step 6

Lastly, I drew her hair strands and her ears.

And don't forget the logo!

Materials:

• Mechanical Pencil
• 0.5mm Faber Castell Leads
• Eraser
• Ruler
• Letter Typewriting
