The End -Day 100 of the steemitschool 100 day writing challenge by @d-pend

The last word was spoken
The last petal fell
Spent the last token
and dry was the well

The sun birthed the evening
and dusk ate the path
lost was all meaning
and broken the glass

Nothing to hold us
and nowhere to stay
no one to scold us
as we walked away

So ends the story
it all turned to sand
the sky remained starless
and barren the land
