This is not my scheduled post. But since I had been writing for quite awhile now, I just want everyone to know how my experience with HF21 felt to me these past few weeks.
Starting point
If you guys are not aware yet, I did not invest anything in this community apart from what I earned which is automatically converted to SP. Call me skeptical but at the time that I was starting up, I made a challenge to myself to grow my steemit account without externally investing aka converting my fiat money into steem. I believed then though most people will look at me this way

Yes. My faith in our community may somewhat seem illogical. First and foremost, cryptocurrency until the first bitcoin Bull run of 2017 was relegated as a "scam." In fact, even today, when I say I am writing in a cryptocurrency based community, the first thing that gets out of their mouths and minds is this

But my stand on this is: most people are resistive to change because it makes them uncomfortable. No one had done this before. Why not try?
I confess that my earlier journey had not been easy mainly because I am a non existent entity then. I still am but compared then, I've got friends now. My resource credit allows me to only post every 3-4 days then. Even when I wanted to engage with my early readers, I need to wait for awhile to do that.
It may really sound that I did not get over those few months but, I wanted everyone especially those who are starting in our community that you guys are not alone. I personally experienced and, I think a lot of people experienced being at the lowest part of the food chain and it sucks. But, as you write/ create, people will get to know you and eventually, you'd earn. I started earning by having SP delegated to me and persevering in creating content.
Hard Fork
As you all know, whenever there are major changes in our community, everyone gets to have a say. Some would extremely be against it and some, would be swinging on the other side. I tried to sit on the fence because I believe that being an extremist is a bad thing. Besides, though its hard to say that I refused to accept the changes, I too have to admit that we need to change and improve in some ways.
I do not know if its just me getting a higher SP but, I feel so encouraged to curate these days. I feel motivated because, I am not just heard from the comments I make but also, I get a higher share on the rewards pool.
Another "fear" that I had a few months ago was that, as a content creator, the upvoters will have a 50/50 cut on everything and, I find that very discouraging. Mainly because when I put my mind into it, I do research everything that I write. In fact, I put a lot of work especially when I am posting some of my craft creations. Figurines this big would take me between 10- 20 minutes (minus the baking time for this guy)
to create. I need to "condition" the clay, conceptualize what I wanted to make, sometimes, I need to mix in 2 or more clay colors (especially when I am working with polymer clay) to arrive at a desired shade. Did I mention that I need to make armtures (aka "wires" that acts as "bones" inside each of them?) And from my experience, its harder for me to make tiny ones than bigger pieces.
Its harder to make this guy though. Since its an "airdry" clay, its pliable period, aka the time I need to decide what I wanted to do with it is usually limited since it starts "curing" the moment its exposed to air. Call it bitching but, I am trying to let everyone know what it takes to make these.
I intentionally chose figurines which has little to no detail just to make a point that its not easy making content. I know that I am not alone out there. I have seen folks post videos, jewelry, needle works, food- being made and anything else in between.
As of now, I cannot find anything wrong with the HF21. I have not heard from the folks who are against the HF21 and, either I am just too slow to grasp up their grievances or, they finally accepted that there are more pros than cons. I don't know really. I get to speculate that they are "re charging" their batteries for next year's hard fork?

I have been reading a lot of proposals lately and, I have tried a few applications on the side. They are all good actually and, the people behind it are very accommodating enough to answer my trivial questions.
All I could say right now is

FULL STEEM AHEAD!
Been awhile since I read an encouraging post "from the heart" @nurseanne84. Nice job on this one. While I am not as enthusiastic about our Steem blockchain post HF
21/ 22, I am still “in here.” I recall engaging with you in the past, so nice to see you are still doing okay. All the best to you, for a better tomorrow! 👍
P.S. I will see if I can get you some more support for this post …

Thank you very much @roleerob. I think people needed to hear that especially those who are still starting around here. I do not want to be one of those people who would suddenly disappear because they feel disappointed (not just on the rewards but also on what they can do because of their limited resource credit).
I am really putting a lot of effort in making sure that my followers can relate to whatever I am talking about. I owe them that much

Dear @nurseanne84
Thank you for sharing your experience with us. HF21 definetly affected many users, in many different ways.
It seem that there is less spammy content on steemit, however it's also obvious that userbase shrinked greately.
You've invested your time. And that's your resource. Sometimes even more worthy than money.
Absolutely. Discipline and long term thinking is what's important. Plus obviously setting up realistic goals.
Yours, Piotr

Great tags well done , but it’s steemterminal for next time. I loved the way you discribe the journey only you can post once a DAY but that will cost you to upvote it’s a choice
Please note:
• Writing posts and comments uses Resource Credits (RC).
• Upvoting posts & comments uses Voting Power (VP).
They are two separate things.
If you upvote someone, a little of your Voting Power (VP) is used.
If you comment (or author a post), a little of your Resource Credits (RC) are used.
And yes, if you upvote posts/comment at 100%, your VotingPower (VP) will drain rather quickly. VP recharges at 20% each 24-hours. Therefore, if you keep your VP at 80% or above, you will never have to wait more than 24-hours for it to be 100% again. If your VP drops to 60%, then it will take 2 days to be at 100% again, and so forth.
If you upvote at 100%, then 10 upvotes will leave you at 80% VP.
If you upvote at 50%, then 20 upvotes will leave you at 80% VP.
...and so forth
And I love the little creatures, you do to little blogs about them
See you soon in steemterminal

Thanks Britt! I have a lot of them here! The "zebra" is made of polymer clay and the "bear" is made of acrylic clay aka the same thing that kids use to play with.

Those figures look really cute. Awesome job!
Yeah, the new rules are not easy for newcomers but at least it makes them put some effort into their content instead of making a ton of simple posts a day.
It also got us rid of the thousands of little scammers that used to infest the Blockchain, which were making a lot of victims among the newbies...
So, some things are better, others aren't. I think overall it worked out well.
You've managed to get a handful of good followers and that is a lot more rewarding than having a million of followers who never upvote you, right?
Good article, thanks for sharing!

Thanks Trin! That's one of my initial worries- people who wanted to make fast cash by upvoting any high value content. But as usual, they are at the lowest wrung in our world. I discovered recently that they are the ones who are more prone to downvote without even leaving any comment as to why they disagree with a post. Sooner or later, a whale will flag them down and, that would be the end of them.
Most people are smart in our community. Some will not accept the "i'll follow you, you follow me" principle. And yes, I feel that I have a duty to make good content for those who faithfully follows and upvotes my posts.

Ahahahah. I tend to upvote mostly for low rewarded posts. I feel like my upvote is more important to them than if I give it to someone who already has 10 or 20 dollars in a post. 😁

Indeed Trin! Especially if they do not get a lot of exposure for it.

Congratulations! Your post has been selected as a daily Steemit truffle! It is listed on rank 13 of all contributions awarded today. You can find the TOP DAILY TRUFFLE PICKS HERE.
I upvoted your contribution because to my mind your post is at least 4 SBD worth and should receive 169 votes. It's now up to the lovely Steemit community to make this come true.

Aahh.. you are not too social to feel how the HF21 exactly made steemit different now 😉 you are so focus, the community you joined is quite wonderful and supportive too..in case the downvoters find your post... nothing would harm you anyway.
Think about this @nurseanne84 😉 you are using #payitforward, why not trying to help others by joining the @pifc contest too😉 it will make you see how the HF21 works on others too
