Steemit ultimate challenge 8 weeks

Steemit and its effect on my life so far.

Life communication
My life before steemit was almost in a mess because I got into a lot of debt trying to help people. This really affected me as a student because I was trying to find my feet as a student with a little business of selling of gadgets. I took a very big risk helping a friend who’s mom fell sick and urgently needed some money for hospital bills, I took money kept in my care because I felt this life can be lost while I had the capacity to help. This eventually got me into trouble and I was close to the dead line of paying back. Nothing seemed to be coming and I was at the point of losing my integrity which I have upheld for a long part of my life. I though felt regret of helping him in the first place because everybody I explained to, told me I took an irrational decision. It was like I was between the devil and the deep blue sea because I approached a guy who I thought could bail me out suggested I go into cyber crime and with my computer skills, I knew I would do well but my love for God and the moral upbringing I got from home wouldn’t let me do such evil.
I found steemit during this period through @jofomaja and with high hope I registered in August 2017 and my account was opened in less than 12 hours but my first post made me less than a dollar so I paused it for a while because didn’t expect it to raise me the funds I need in such short time. To cut the long story short, I used my school fees, house rent and pocket money for the next school session to solve it.
In December, my brother @penauthor who continued on the platform told me how steemit has helped him tremendously. I came in for the money expecting to recover from my loss.

Come in for the money but stay for the community.

I decided to become serious with steemit and discovered that it’s beyond money but also about helping lives better. I really wished I knew this before because a lot of what happened would never have happened. I came in and saw various projects with people trying to help the world get better. I realized that I could help more, give more and still not go into debt and have a good sleep during night the night falls. I joined my brother and a friend he introduced to the platform in September, together as a team, @penauthor, @jackdogho, @jofomaja and the friends I introduced from school @violed25th, @russiamarv, planned on how to help the youth our community by empowering them with a platform that can help them achieve their dreams.

We got to meet other bosses @destinysaid, @pearlumie , @gbenga and others on the platform that helped us have a blast of passion.

We registered over 100 people into the community.
Financial communication
I made $8 sbd on my rebirth, might not be much but I was so happy to have another stream of income. Beyond myself, when I see a lot of youth with potentials trying to make ends meet, I introduce them to the steemit community.
Steemit has taught me to invest more of my time and money into it, to also invest in other CRYPTOs. Like the boss @gbenga said,

you cannot withdraw what you did not deposit.

Though I know I haven’t made much but I know with Time and commitment I will and I will have that charity organization I have also dreamed of.

Business Communication
Having the desire to trade the foreign exchange market and other cryptocurrency, steemit platform has helped through reading up articles in blogs of experts in the field. One thing you can trust is the quality of their content because that’s what the steemit community promotes. I can get good trading signals and also make money from steemit to trade on the platform.

Education communication
Steemit has helped me build my vocabulary, my knowledge and researching skills with trying to create quality content. The desire to climb up the leader in the community has made me better through reading other articles, creative thinking and lots more. I even discovered that I could share what I am being taught in class to the community and like you know that you must know a thing to teach it. Now learning in school has become more interesting.

Lessons from the Journey so far
• Join a community, steemit is a community and you can’t succeed alone. Don’t come only for the money but also to build the community, help as much people as possible, make life better than you met it.

• Consistency: the race is won not by running fast or slow but by consistency. You have to be consistent on the platform to become known and get to the top. Every thing in life runs with consistency, it is the mother of mastery because anything you do consistently you master.

• Hardwork: keep working hard, follow your passion till it starts profiting you. You don’t get free money on steemit but you make what you put into it. Take time to research your work, avoid plagiarism, keep commenting and chatting.

• Interact: be free on the platform, it’s social media, make friends and have fun. Steemit is not a do or die affair, get to know many people from all over the world.

• Learning: keep learning, ask questions when you get stuck, be curious to know more, to do more on the platform. I had the opportunity to meet someone that inspired me a lot @pearlumie and he gave me some priceless secrets. Keep following people and learn from them when you have the chance.
