See round 1 for all the details on this project, why it exists, and the mind who gave me the idea to do it in the first place ^^

This is your only warning - this post contains a curse. If you're the kind of person who doesn't like curses, doesn't practice cursing, or feels the need to tell others about things like 'karma' and the Threefold Law regardless of the fact that some people, myself included, don't believe in either then turn back now. I will not tolerate comments along the lines of the last part of that sentence and anything said along those lines will be flagged.

For this week, my roommate chose....

Tin foil balls, the thumbs of some gloves my roommate cut off because he didn't need them for the project he was doing, coffee beans, green glitter, star anise, onion powder, a red feather and some Japanese chili peppers.

I chose rusty nails and some red Rit dye as my additional ingredients. I was also given choice of wax color t his time around and chose purple, for reasons I'll explain later. And not shown is also the mixture of war water, dirty paint water and gutter water I chose to fill the rest of the jar with.

And the final product;

A curse jar to turn luck bad. As soon as I saw the peppers I knew a curse was in order. Here's how the ingredients play out;

  • Tin foil balls - they're metal, so in the water they will stain and rot and add some general nastiness. 13 of them, because in Western society 13 is the unlucky number.

  • Glove thumbs - I had a hard time with this one, but I used them and some purple thread to wrap up the bits of paper where I had written the names of the people I wanted affected by this curse as a taglock, as an extra measure of blocking good luck from getting to them.

  • Coffee Beans - to help the spell move along faster, and 13 of them too.

  • Green Glitter - green is considered the color of good luck, but when soaked in all the grossness of this jar they'll turn brown and nasty just like the target's luck.

  • Star Anise - many people use this in ritual to entice spirits into helping with magical endeavors. While not a spirit worker myself, in this case it's more to entice a specific deity I work with into helping.

  • Onion Powder - smells worse than an actual onion, and a crap ton stronger. What's more bad luck related than smelling bad because you ate something smelly or didn't have time to shower or forgot to put on deodorant, especially right before something big and important.

  • Red Feather - just a craft store feather. I tore the bits off and used the shaft in the middle combined with a little bit of the red dye to crudely write down the names for the aforementioned taglock.

  • Chili Peppers - I took them out of this bag and put them in a jar like I should have forever ago, and funneled out the seeds since those are the spiciest part. Peppers have been used in curses since forever and will aid in making the thing work better.

  • Rusty Nail - to add rust to the jar and a sharp object as an additional aid.

  • Red Dye - to color the water red and stain everything it touches like the curse is meant to.

  • War Water - mostly meant to add more rust and help protect me from any backlash.

  • Dirty Paint Water & Gutter Water - nasty stuff to help amplify the curse

I also intentionally chose a dark colored jar that had once held liquid sauce so it's water tight. The purple wax was chosen because if you look at complimentary/opposite/inverted colors and all that, green either has red or purple in that spectrum and I always feel that green and red are too Christmas-related and that's a happy time so I went with purple, again as an opposite to help turn good luck bad.

For me, this curse was aimed at some people who have really been dicks this week. Including our apartment management who were informed over a week ago that our dishwasher was not draining properly and have been stalling about sending a guy out to fix it even though we darn well know they can spare a guy for half an hour to fix it and make sure it works. It's aimed at making their lives miserable through bad luck - cars refusing to start and needing to wait forever for a tow truck, waking up late and being unable to have a shower and food before coming in to work and still being late anyway due to traffic jams or something else of that nature, and things of very similar nature. Things that can't be traced back to me and my roommate and will just generally inconvenience them.

I also built in a stop feature; this curse can be stopped once the bottle is broken, and I will break it when we get our dishwasher and stove fixed and when the idiots up there actually get someone competent to run the show and stop being jerks to not just us but everyone else in this complex - our neighbors in both our old building and this one regularly complain about how it takes weeks to fix anything, they don't hire enough maintenance dudes to cover everything, stuff like that. Hell the whole complex has been without proper working air conditioning for almost 3 weeks while we've had 80 or 90+ degree days and many people have young children or are elderly or have pets that cannot suffer constant 80+ degrees in the apartments during the day and are suffering health hazards because of it, our own poor husky included. It's absolutely illegal but no one here has enough money and/or know-how to take any action so we all just suffer and it's not right.

I'm hoping this curse will at least make some things better, and when they are and it's broken and those people stop getting all the bad luck in the world (or resign and we get new and better people up there) maybe it'll also make them stop and think that they shouldn't treat people the way they do and should actually start acting decent for a change.
