[Steemjet Weekly Report #1] - Delegatee stats

in steemjet •  6 years ago  (edited)

It's the weekends again and it's time for my weekly steemjet report. As I've said on my last post, I will be doing a weekly status report on all Space Force members particularly on their voting behaviours to monitor how they are spending @dimimp's generous delegation.

To understand the report below:

UV = Number of upvotes
DV = Number of downvotes
UqV = Number of unique authors upvoted
SV (%) =Self-vote in percentage
TV_SV ($) = Total value in SBD received from self-voting
TV_O ($) = Total value in SBD given from upvoting other authors
SJ = Number of upvotes made under the "steemjet" category
TV_SJ ($) - Total value in SBD from upvoting under the "steemjet" category

Data period: 27-04-2018 - 04-05-2018.

For some reason, the whole table is not shown and cut off when viewing on steemit.com. If you want to see the rest of the data, just zoom out or move the scroll bar below the table or use busy.org.

It is important to note that the data above is taken from April 27 2018 to May 05 2018. If you have heard of steemjet this May and received the delegation late then don't be too disappointed to see your numbers that low and take that as an opportunity to be more active on the steemjet community. XD

As seen on the numbers above, @empato365 proved once again that he is worthy of @dimpimp's delegation. @empato365 upvoted 140 posts under the steemjet category which is almost a total of $60.747 SBD. He also only has a self-vote percentage of 9.06% which means that he really is spreading the "love" /steem to everyone.

In second place is @mbj who upvoted 91 posts under the steemjet category which is almost $61.058 SBD and in third place @deandaniel with 86 upvoted posts and around $80.329SBD. Goes to show how deserving this Space Force 1 members is. :)

Also very active Space Force members on upvoting other steemjetters under the "steemjet" category are :
@chukwunalu with 27 upvoted posts (around $5.284) and only a 1.56% selfvote.
@etemi with 49 upvoted posts (around $3.31) and 6.33% selfvote,
@lifeofdarlington with 42 upvoted posts (around $5.715) and a self-vote of 6.21%,
@mhizsophie with 26 upvoted posts (around $11.459) and 7.04% selfvote
@ubongj with 79 upvoted posts (around $21.48) and a self-vote of 8.87%.
@shuta with 24 upvoted posts(around$4.743) and a self-vote of only 2.25%

And a huge salute to this two Space Force members:
@machnbirdsparo with 48 upvoted posts (around $2.131) and @shrazi with 49 upvoted posts (around $2.465) who NEVER made any self-votes. HUGE RESPECT from me! I salute this two.

It is also worth noting how our Steemjet Supervisors are doing a great job at preventing spam comments, stopping people who are clearly just fishing for upvotes and seeing to it that no entries are submitted twice. Big kudos to @lifeofdarlington for making 48 downvotes at that time. Impressive numbers.

Anyways, to reiterate the data above are from April 27 2018 to May 05 2018, so I think we'll see some improvements next week as most space force members only started receiving their delegation on the first week of May.

Also, The list of people being taken data above are taken from @empato365's organization chart:

I can't seem to fetch data from some members as their usernames does not exist on the steem blockchain, hence the " - ". If you know those people feel free to tag them so I can take their data out too.

excellent work jlordc. I will give you both a promotion to SF6 and a contract extension until next year If you can provide a monthly report like this that is accurate.

After this week when I get caught up (hiring several more people) I will be showcasing any new hires with their own post so you should not miss when we hire someone new for your spreadsheet.

Let me know if you can handle the task, and I will update my records accordingly.

  ·  6 years ago (edited)

Thank you very much boss @dimimp . I'm glad that you like it!

The data itself is close to accurate as it is taken from Steemocean which heavily rely on SteemSQL, which is an exact replica of the steem blockchain. (as the creators of those two useful tools have clarified within these post)

I am also constantly monitoring your every post as not to miss on our new hires aka Space Force members. I will keep you updated and will continue to do what I can be of help to the SteemJet community. And yes I can do report like this one monthly. Thanks once again! :)

STEEMJET - on the wings of superstars, we are words and steem!

  ·  6 years ago (edited)

Perfect, thanks, I prefer monthly reports becasue I don't have time to add up the weekly reports and don't check them that often so if you could add up a monthly report for me I would appreciate it, but feel free to do as many as you want, just do me a favor and label the monthly ones "STEEMJET MONTHLY REPORT" or something in all caps so they stand out from your regular posts please. Thank you for taking the initiative to make this task your own!

  ·  6 years ago (edited)

Noted and Affirmative boss! :)

I will be creating a seperate report for "STEEMJET MONTHLY REPORT".

And no problem, I love doing stuffs like this.

You can as well use data from steemreport as it covers a 31 day period compare to steemocean (seven days).

Nice report

From two weeks ago and updating today??..
That' seems off a bit for me.. Try something current.. Commend you for the effort though

  ·  6 years ago (edited)

Nope it's only one week of data starting from: 27-04-2018 - 04-05-2018.
Since that was the time @dimimp, started to give out delegations.

The plan is to do this weekly with data from the previous week. Oh and thanks!

Also the reason why the data is 1week late is to make sure that payout is really done. Some people in here might "unvote" someone, or the post being upvoted might be flagged by someone, thus to make sure that the data is almost accurate, we check after the payout is done which is after a week. Hope this makes sense :)

Hehehe. writing
My account name is incorrect. my account name is @longming. not @longmining

this is a list
IMG_20180512_173642.JPG

Hi sorry about that! The organizational image chart says @longmining, that's why I mispelled yours. Anyway, will update yours :) Sorry again!

it's okay. boss dimimp. who wrote my name like that. he said i was his lost twin. I think I did not get a delegate due to a misnamed name.
but the boss dimimp still know my name.
I finally got a delegation

Girl!!!! I love this thing you do, please do it weekly. Cause yesterday when i checked other delegatees reports i was shooked i almost cried because some of the people delegated to are not even active and they dont use the delegations... I want you to post this every week so we see how we are working actually

  ·  6 years ago (edited)

Well that's the plan, to do this weekly. I'm glad that at least someone appreciates this! Thanks! :)

Also I can see that you are very active, I saw your numbers and I am honestly very impressed. Keep up the good work!

P.S.: I'm a guy btw :)

Really ....some people delegated are offline?? Nice work boss

Wow. @ura-soul's website is really in use and it is helping steemjet.

I will check it up myself
I didn't even know I have voted up to 60.747sbd already and I hope to give out more

You are doing a great analysis here
Please keep up the good work

Thanks! Glad you like it. And yeah, I am quite impressed about your numbers. Very well deserved position for you :)

While we are at it, I've been meaning to ask @ura-soul(If he read this one out) about what constitutes an Upvote. Does it only include top-level posts or upvotes to comments too? I've read somewhere that "Dust votes" are also not counted? Might want a clarification to this one, as @afolwalex made a great point below

Either way, with @dimimp's generous delegation, no Space Force member will now be upvoting below the "dust threshold" so starting next week I guess we could see a lot of improvement in the numbers.

Yes I think I can trust the infromationg given from the website it is actually efficient as it takes record of upvotes made on post(Blog post and comment) under a particular tag. It is gonna be a useful tool for @dimimp to evaluate his employees, and hopefully there's gonna be a lot of improvement in the numbers

Greetings! Upvotes apply to top level posts and also comments - both are counted.
My own code counts every vote that is above zero, but there are some anomalies in the data surrounding posts that are close to zero, but they are so close to zero that they are irrelevant really.
There are some entries in SteemSQL which have missing data currently and @arcange is aware of this and looking at finding a fix for it. The result is that some votes are not being counted. There's nothing I can personally do about this, so I am waiting on Arcange's fix.

I have replied to @afolwalex below.

We Thank you very much for coming in at the right time.

The giver of all time, well done, I'm proud of you

Thanks dear. I'll keep spreading the love to all steemjetters

Great man.

Since i'm in the supervisor team i use most of my voting power to flag/downvote irrelevant comments so don't expect a lot of upvote from me. Well thanks for the analysis.

Thanks! That's also the reason why I included the number of downvotes made by each SF member.
Keep up the good work. I salute what your team does as some of you would probably end up with a lot of people complaining about the 'flags' XD

Yes boss..
Irrelevant comments should be greatly reduced...

  ·  6 years ago (edited)

Great job you're doing here, now no one will be hiding, also I'm thinking to make such data report about spam comments/useful comments.
Again my friend great job!

Thanks! And you should totally do that :)

Well, putting all this together isn't an easy task. Well-done!

What tool are you using to check? You should call this an estimate, unless proven true. I ran a background check on some and I discovered the figures isn't correct.

Did you check the date again? To reiterate this data is for April 27 to May 5. Not sure on what time the snapshot was taken though so the discrepancies might lie their. But for transparency sakes, I am using steemocean as reference for the data. It uses an indexing system for the Steem blockchain((as used by Steemit.com).

To people who wants to check their numbers:
You can freely check here:

http://steemocean.com/voter/afolwalex

Just replace the last one with your steem username.

Let me know if you find any errors or mistakes.:)

Well, I've never heard of steemocean. But I know of steemd. It gives your daily report, all what you do on your account.

I didn't even check mine to confirm if this is true or not. I checked another account because it was easier due to the lower number of upvotes he has given.

According to your report, @essiential gave a total of 5 votes during the week. Kindly head over to http://steemd.com/@essiential to confirm this.

Steemd.com gives you every thing he has been doing with the account. He gave far more than 5 votes in the past 4 days.

Definitely, steemocean statistics isn't plausible.

That aside, I'm not sure the number of posts on the steemjet tag is up to 160 during the week. Yet, you stated that a member made 140 votes? I'm sorry, I'm not agreeing to steemocean.

  ·  6 years ago (edited)

Again to reiterate this data is for APRIL 27 2018 to MAY 5 2018. Which is almost TWO WEEKS AGO.

I am aware of steemd but it is hard to MANUALLY checked there, but since you want me to double check essiential, then here goes:

Essiential voted this posts:

essiential upvote @essiential/you-need-steempayout-com-for-an-easier… (58%) 7days ago 7 days ago
essiential upvote @dimimp/wow-if-you-thought-that-upvoting-helped-yo… (86%) 7 days ago
essiential upvote @shartzy/chanel-your-opportunities-towards-achievi… (22%) 8 days ago
essiential upvote @owaniofficial/happie-the-bird-entry-contest (38%) 8 days ago
essiential upvote @owaniofficial/steem-high-design-contest (59%) 8days ago
essiential upvote @sunscape/animalsunday-photography-by-sunscape 12days ago

A total of 6 posts. That's why I've said that the discrepancy lies on the time the snapshot was taken because if the snapshot was taken at the morning then the first one will not be taken in the data making it 5.

It is also worthy to note that only top-level posts are being included on the first column. Upvotes to replies are not so you might see less.

That aside, I'm not sure the number of posts on the steemjet tag is up to 160 during the week. Yet, you stated that a member made 140 votes? I'm sorry, I'm not agreeing to steemocean.

For that table, comments upvoted under the "steemjet" tag is included. Since ENTRIES and SUBMISSIONS are mostly in the form of comments, I think we should also include those, right?

Either way I respect your sentiment and doubt regarding the data being presented above. But whatever presented is coming from a third-party. But if you know of any EASY tool for doing these things, then feel free to tell me.

Well, It's nice you are doing this. I just took note of the date. I was backdating to 7 days ago initially.

For the steemjet aspects, you can edit and write "posts and comments involving steemjet" cos I was surprised a user has 140 vote given the fact that posts isn't even up to that.

I will like to know how you got the steemjet statistics though.

And I learnt steemreports.com also gives analysis. Atimes you can just compare with other tools to conclude.

You know everybody won't agree to this, and they will come with their proves too.

Good job. I know you put in lots of work to get this.

  ·  6 years ago (edited)

Hey thanks! And yeah, it's easy to miss the date on this one. :)

Also the reason why I chose to use steemocean instead of any other tools is that almost all the data I need is on their plus anyone could just look it up there everytime they have doubts about the numbers. I initially thought of using steemsql which most analysts here use but I know people will have doubts about where the numbers are coming from. It's nice to be transparent about everything. So that's why I chose steemocean.

I will like to know how you got the steemjet statistics though.

The numbers are also their, along with all the tags/categories you have voted for that week

anyone could just look it up there everytime they have doubts about the numbers.

This is really funny to read, because steemocean heavily rely on SteemSQL to get its data.

I initially thought of using steemsql which most analysts here use but I know people will have doubts about where the numbers are coming from

All the data in SteemSQL are directly from the blockchain and SteemSQL is an exact replica of the blockchain.
You can compare data from the database with data from any steemd node.

It's nice to be transparent about everything.

You have to trust the aggregation process of a data source like steemocean, or any source that provide already aggregated data. And unfortunately, you cannot verify this process. So, your transparency argument is not as strong as you think ;)

  ·  6 years ago (edited)

Oh sorry I didn't mean it like that! :)

First of all I trust SteemSQL and I honestly thought that steemocean uses data from SteemSQL, that's why I was thinking of directly using SteemSQL for this.

But, what I meant about the "transparent" thing is that a way for people who have doubts to clearly show the numbers being taken too. I could show them an excel file or a screenshot but people will still have doubts about the numbers. That's why I opted to use steemocean instead as I could just send them the steemocean link I got the numbers too. :)

Alright! Another thing you should put into consideration is worth of upvote.

Upoting 30 posts at 5% each isn't far fetched. A member upvoting fewer members with a higher voting power, what do we say about that?

Sometimes it's not about the number of upvotes you made but the impact of the upvotes.

Once again, good job.

  ·  6 years ago (edited)

I did take that into consideration. That is why I added TV_O = Total Value of upvotes to other people in SBD as I see some people upvoting only at 5-10% to other people but 100% on their own comments. XD

and TV_SJ = Total Value of upvotes to "steemjet" category (although this one might include self-votes too, so I still need to something for this)
Also for my analysis I take in two important things:
First, # of upvotes made and Second, total value of given votes.

And a little minor on self-voting and self-voting upvote worth in SBD.
Either way, thanks for all this. There is indeed a lot to take into consideration. :)

Your devotion is quite noteworthy. I have been partially incapacitated shortly as I'm having issues with my device. I hope to get back on track by next week fully.. Well done!

Issokay

Greetings! Steem Ocean uses data from a 1 week period which ends 1 week prior to the current date. This is so that all of the data is based on posts that have paid out and is the only way to get up to date information that is not subject to change. If I use data that is from the last 7 days, for example, the votes could change and so the post payout data is not accurate and will, at best, be a projection. By using data from 2 weeks ago, the data and payout levels are set in stone.

When I checked steemd for the user @essiential and counted back 7 days from today - then counted up the number of votes made in the previous 7 days, it came out at a total of 10 votes - which is the same figure that steemocean shows for him.

With regards the count of 140 votes for @empato365 - if you look at his profile on steemocean, here - you will see that today's data shows a count of 132 votes made for the steemjet tag during the indexing period stated at the top of the page. If you scroll to the bottom of the page, you will find all of the votes listed in total. You can then click on the table column marked 'main category' and you can see all of the votes he made and comments/posts that the votes were made for. You can click on the timestamp on the left side and open up the post to check that the vote exists.
I scrolled down the list and counted well over 100 votes.
Note: that table only lists the 1st category/tag for a comment/post - so if he votes for a post/comment that has steemjet as a 2nd/3rd/4th/5th tag, then it will not show up in the list of posts on Steem Ocean in a way that you can connect to the steemjet tag. Now that I see that this is something that people will find useful, I will add it to the list of new features to add in the future.

That is why I promoted you once to be voted for witness. You just know how to solve problems in a good way, please do fix it so that it can also count for upvotes on posts/comments made using steemjet tag not only in the first category but also on the 2nd/3rd/4th/5th categories. it is going to be very useful to us,

As time goes on maybe our members of our steemjet community will all have to vote you as witness for setting up this great tool. Thank you

please do fix it so that it can also count for upvotes on posts/comments made using steemjet tag not only in the first category but also on the 2nd/3rd/4th/5th categories.

Yep! Totally didn't know that it only counts the first category tag.

To be clear, the middle list on the profile page, that shows categories, DOES currently include a count of posts where the tag is used in any position in the list of tags. Only the bottom list is limited to the first tag.

To be clear: The image below includes counts of posts and even "comments" under a certain tag in "any" position.

23.png

While the "Votes Cast During Indexing Period", only includes the first tag used?

Gotcha! Thanks for clarifying all this @ura-soul. :)

Ohhh That's what those were for. Lol Great job, makes it the more easier for us.

hehe, I just added a text title above the list to make that a bit clearer.

When u talk about curating or upvoting people under the steemjet category, do you mean those who use the steemjet tag?

Nice Work by the way bro...job made easy for @dimimp. With this he would know those to promote and Fire. With this, I don't thing he needs any further report.

Hey thanks! and Yes posts/comments under the "steemjet" tag. :)

That's so encouraging....the tag will get to be popular

you also done a very good job dear.
keep it up.

This comment has received a 0.14 % upvote from @speedvoter thanks to: @mahadihasanzim.

After reading all of these replies I must say you're doing a great job! I really like seeing this kind of report and looks like dimimp liked it too :)

@mimun007 is actually @mumin007
Good work btw man..

Oh noted! Thanks :)

Is the self vote percentage calculated on the basis of number of self upvotes or the earnings from self-upvotes
