Greetings Lords and Ladies,
a fortnight is over and we a ready to show some of our developement progress on the new Classic Mode client.
First of, I finished the first art pass on the new Classic Mode arena, which will now move into the testing and performance optimization phase.

In addition to the progress above I also developed a new Unreal Engine 4 plugin which will aid us in our continues development. This tool is dubbed Coma (Component Manager), and suprise, it let's us manage components more efficiently!
@mwfiae continued his development work on our automatic content redistribution system, which we dubbed _cobbo (Content Broadcast Bot).
Soon, we can distribute to all sorts of different platforms to attract more people to Steem/Hive!

The way it works is that _cobbo automatically detect a post on a specific platform and distributes it to the other platforms without manual labor. If all goes well we plan to use it in our next Dev Blog to see how it's going. Please excuse any errors that will result from that.
@cloud925 wasn't satisfied with the battle UI that we showed off on the first Knights of Cathena Development Blog and reiterated on it the past week and we all agree that a much better version of it come out at the other and, behold it's glory:
Soo, back onto some of our new Knights of Cathena: Eternal Artifacts concepts.
Today we will look at our new battle system concept.
In previous posts we occasionally dropped that Knights of Cathena will be more of a RPG kind of game. Now we want to clarify some of the elements that represent this.
First of, I think we already mentioned it, knights will have HP (Hit Points) in Eternal Artifacts. That means a single attack by a enemy knight will not kill it instantly but rather decrease your knights HP, which in turn creates a more strategic way of playing the game. We think this opens up the game alot to either a more conservative or aggressive play style.
This effect is even more increased by our item system which will let you, as a player, modify the attack and defensive abilites of each knight that you place on the battlefield. More on this on our next posts, there we will go into more detail on how the weapon and gear items will change our knights abilities.
Not only will the above mentioned change create a more dynamic battlefield, but also our changes to the attack range. Some knight types will receive an attack range which in turn will create a much faster game with more exciting fight scenes. Again, here we will get into more detail on a future post about the new map size and how to move around.
And on top of it all this will change the way the game is won. Previously you only needed to find the king and slay him, that is still the case, but this time around the king will have a shield equipped. This shield has to be broken first to slay the king. In total you have to attack the king three times before he dies, so you would need more turns to win the battle overall.
