When @silverd510 comes up with ideas theyre usually pretty good, but when it comes to #tags, and more specifically tag posts, he's a genius. His latest post idea for the #steemsilvergold group is a "TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS" theme and involves picking 12 Precious Metal items you'd love to receive.
Take a look at his twelve days of Christmas and see for yourself.
Here are the rules he made up for this little posting sequence:
Start off with the lowest dollar items, building up to the one thing that would truly blow you away if you got it as a gift.
The items have to be realistic!! No one is going to gift you an 1895CC Morgan silver dollar. Unless you are related to Bill Gates or any other billionaire.
The top item can not exceed a value of $2000
So for DAY 9 - 2015, 1/10th oz, Chinese panda coin (BU)
Value: $250 (approx). Carries a premium because of its age and design.
The Chinese panda coins are recognised worldwide and some will even argue that they are the most loved and cherished designs available. The series started way back in 1982 and has had a different design every year since. The lovable Panda has featured in many different poses throughout the years and it's what keeps collectors and investors coming back for more.
Why 2015?
Well, thats an easy one!! The year 1/2pint was born and the reason I started to "STACK". I've picked up the full silver set versions of this year, so why not add a gold version to the stack too.
- Made from .999 fine gold, weight of 1/10 troy oz.
- Proof/Uncirculated Condition.
- Obverse: Features a depiction of Temple of Heaven in the middle and is encircled by words “People’s Republic of China” on top and at the bottom year of mintage, all etched in Chinese characters.
- Reverse: Features a Panda portrait that changes annually. Inscriptions: Denomination, Content, Weight, and Purity.
- Face value: 50 Yuan.
- Guaranteed by the People’s Bank of China as official legal tender.
Quite reasonable considering the choices of most everyone else so far. Yo ho ho!

I don't want to peak to soon!! Still have a few days to go yet... Plus if I keep them semi-reasonable I may get something I want from my secret santa 😉

I like the gold pandas, not so much the silver ones. I had shitty luck on them spotting badly. Secret Santa who's that?

I have no gold Panda, but I like the idea to fill this gap one day.
