So today I was doing some research and I came across some really cool sounding sites and wanted to share them with you guys.
ujo MUSIC
The first site I came across is ujo Music. This site is still in development but they have a working prototype which I like a lot. The idea behind the site is to use a block chain to create a "transparent music industry". So basically you can look at the information in the block chain and see who really owns or has rights to the individual songs you are purchasing. On top of that the site allows you to see where the money you spend on a song or album is going and how it is divided between all those credited to the music. But what I think is the coolest part of this is that supposedly they won't be collecting any fees from the transactions unlike iTunes, Google Play, and other music hosting services or labels. You can also explore all those that worked on the song or album through a cool, slick looking interface (seen below) Which even gives you a little biopic on each person when you click on their name. Right now the site only accepts Ether as payment and have said they plan to allow credit card payments in the future. If you know any local artists or Billboard Chart toppers point them toward

.onename
This service is a little more ambitious. The goal for onename is that they want to create a block chain where everyone in the world can store their personal information; usernames, passwords, phone numbers, even medical records eventually. This doesn't mean I'm going to throw my social security number up there quite yet but there are some people who believe governments need to move from physical documents to digital and that onename may be the solution. Now the site has a long way to go but support and members are growing every day. I myself have not signed up yet as I am still researching the site but it sounds like a great idea. Check out their blog for more information.
Y O U R S
There's not a whole lot to say about Y O U R S. If you're familiar with steemit then you already know basically what it is. The biggest difference is that they'll be using bitcoin as their currency instead of creating one of their own. BUT in the "secret preview" video at about 2:25 they seem quickly glaze over the fact that with every transaction they take a small fee. Please correct me if I'm wrong. They do seem to be more user friendly but to be fair steemit is still in beta.
Check the sites out and let me know your thoughts in the comments. Take it easy everyone. Justin
It's interesting to note that many financial astrologers predicted a worldwide move to digital currency about ten years ago. BC astrologer Tim Stephens urged readers to invest in Bitcoin about two months before it suddenly blew up and now, he and others, are saying that from 2018 onward we'll see an entirely different financial structure that will include digital currency as the norm, small village-sized communities of like-minded people working together for mutual benefits, and bartering, both online and IRL. Thanks for the post!

And I completely agree with Mr. Stephens. Thanks for the vote and the response! :)
