Several health systems across different regions are investing in the Epic Electronic Health Record (EHR) system to enhance care coordination, improve patient experience, and streamline operations.

Tidelands Health is set to integrate its EHR with the MUSC Health Epic system, improving care visibility across its four hospitals and over 60 outpatient locations.

This integration aims to create a single patient record, facilitating more efficient processes and enhancing the quality of care. Similarly, Coastal Medical, part of Lifespan Corp., has adopted Lifespan's EHR and patient portal using Epic software, enabling patients to access their health data across various Lifespan facilities in one portal.

Benefis Health System in Montana is also implementing an Epic EHR system to consolidate health records on a single platform, improving care coordination and enhancing health data security.

These investments underscore the trend towards utilizing advanced EHR systems like Epic to transform healthcare delivery by improving access to health information, enhancing patient safety, and optimizing operational efficiencies.
