Steemmonsters Legendary Summoner Airdrop: I got really lucky!

A little over a week ago, Steemmonsters announced an airdrop of Legendary Summoners

I got quite excited but wasn't counting on receiving any of these legendary summoners, to be honest. A few days ago, the moment of truth was there, people were talking in the Steemmonsters discord about it hours before the actual airdrop was happening. When they said it was time, I started looking and refreshing Steemmonsters' steemd page, and there I could see all the transactions including the accounts that had received a (or more) card(s). Not long after the first couple of refreshes, I noticed some names of our Team Possible guild, and I was so happy for them, that I tagged them in the discord lol. Time went on and one, and I didn't find my name. Just like I had expected nothing, I thought I'd received nothing. Until the moment I went to my peakmonsters explorer page. And I saw that there had been a gift of 2 cards from Steemmonsters. Wooohaaaa, that got me excited, I can't even explain. I clicked to see what cards had been dropped in my account, and this beauty above was one of them! I could not believe it, not only 1 card, but two, and then even a gold foil legendary summoner. Just days after I opened a GFL Sacret Unicorn from my season rewards.

But there was more

I opened two of my alt accounts, and in total, I found 6 legendary summoners (including that 1 GFL). I went through the roof of excitement, especially when I saw the number of dollars they were listed for at the market. Mine was listed at $2000. Now, of course, prices will drop and rise again, but still, it was really nice to have a real gem in my collection. This real gem is a rare one too, only 20 of them in excistence (highest level).

A little over a week ago, I had my first wins in Steemmonsters tournaments, and the ones I enjoy playing the best, are the gold foil cards tournaments. So I would be really stupid to let this one go, as it will come in handy selecting my teams during tournaments. I will write a post about my experience in a league way out of my league (because of non-levelled gold cards) later, to explain why this card is not leaving my collection any time soon. Although I can really really use the money, I won't sell it.

Trying out the regular legendary summoners too

I had to think about where I would place them, as I have decks levelled up higher than these beauties can handle on level 1. So I put them in my account with the lowest level cards, and will probably continue playing them in there. I have two of the regular prince rennyn, so I only need one more to make it a level 2 summoner. When I can, I will move it to another account, as I'm trying to get an account for all types of levels tournaments I like playing. It's also good practice to play on different levels. I didn't think I'd like the tournaments that much, so there's a huge task waiting for me again to level the cards in there.
