Steem Monsters abilities table by summoner level, water splinter

in steemmonsters •  6 years ago  (edited)

As I've been leveling up my accounts, I've found I really wanted this chart, so I thought I would make one for you. As monsters level up, they gain abilities, and some of these are extremely important - attack for Swamp Thing and Goblin Shaman, Heal for Flesh Golem, Blast for Fire Demon, and so on. Knowing where those abilities come in is very important for deciding how to level up your teams. Since leveling up always begins with your summoner, I've decided to group new abilities by rare summoner level. To keep this from being huge, I'll split it into separate posts by splinter.

Where with Fire we saw that progress was loaded onto level 4, here in Water it's clearly loaded onto level 5. While some of the earlier abilities are important, particularly Medusa's Stun and Turtle's Thorns, level 5 is basically a full-scale team upgrade. Then almost nothing of interest happens after that; summoner levels 6-8 are pretty much restricted to stats increases in this splinter.

This explains why my level 4 water teams have so much trouble; they're lagging behind the other splinters in terms of abilities. I should be focusing on moving them to level 5.
