One of the booster packs that I purchased is playable but I am unable to sell or upgrade them because they lack a unique ID. When I purchase a similar card it is then erased.

its a card from the starter pack, you cant sell these cards :)

you can sell them, or send them to someone else, and then they remain on your account as a phantom card like I explained in another comment
UNLESS he used a free promo starter pack, then all the stater pack is phantom

Or you received a free promo starter pack, or you sold/sent the card present in the paid starterpack
If you buy card they should appear though, better ask it in channel technical support on their discord if you sure that you bought cards and they do not appear
