SEASON 3 HAS ARRIVED
That means we have some updates to do because of the @steemmonsters changes.
On our test server battlechain is working and we can push the changes soon to the website. BUT... i have some questions first.
ENEMY RESEARCH
Let's recap what we have already
You can go here when we update the site: https://peakmonsters.com/@jarvie/battlechain
And see what your oponent has played.
What do you want to quickly see to understand your opponent?
- We are for sure remove summoner level filter.
- We'll add a League filter (since you only play those inside your own league)
- League filter probably means we are changing rating filter
- We'll add a rule set filter
QUESTIONS
How can we improve the summary to be easily readable, short and beneficial?
1b. What if we added colors in there somehow (change the name or the rating color?) Would that give you a headache?Do you want the mana cap filter to be min/max or do you want it to be only 1 number? Could be handy to see what they played on that rule set given 1-2 mana points difference.
@nealmcspadden has suggested a +/- related to the number you put in.
Probably easiest to leave that filter alone for first edition... but i'd love to hear your thoughts for perhaps the next edition.
3. GAME Analysis Questions
As much as I'd love to work on a database and analyse all battles and offer up statistics... to be honest we have to work on BID MARKET first.
But perhaps what we can do is give you statistics based on the API data that is presently pulled up on the page. @asgarth would have to verify a lot of this so it's all still hypothetical.
But here's the idea if you go to a battlechain we could summarize the data that it pulls up.
- How many games (you can keep going back in history)
- How many wins / winning percentage
- Distribution of the splinters played
Those are the easiest things to do.
I guess you could show distribution of what mana games and rule sets they played but why would you want that?
More importantly you'd want to filter by that rule set and then see how the win loss changes when you filter right? And you'd want to see quickly what color they tend to use.
Also as far as UI what i've proposed above is 8 lines already space is a premium what else would you really want to see?
WHAT ELSE?
Remember we're just analyzing API data but there are some creative things we can still do. Any cool ideas for us?
Very sneaky. The Elven Cutthroat would be so proud.
