(Priyomcom) Vladimir Putin has been elected as the President of Russia again. Although there have been allegations of several irregularities in this election.

On March 18, Putin won an unprecedented victory in Sunday's presidential election. Putin will be in Russia for the next six years due to this win.

Citing the central election commission, the BBC said that Putin received more than 76 percent of the vote. He got 64 percent of the votes in the 2012 election. Nearly a vote (12 percent) was received by communist leader Pavel Grudinen.

This year, Putin's most powerful challenger Alexei Navalny was banned from the elections on charges of money laundering. He was arrested on February 22.
