We all know the best time to grow for a business is when there is a recession on. Those businesses that can afford that luxury come out the other side bigger and more prepared to take advantage and scoop whatever business they couldn't before.
This is no different on Steemit and everyone should have been taking advantage of this quiet period by looking at how to improve their situation. In a few months from now or maybe sooner the markets will turn and the platform will start pumping again. The question is what have you done over this period to increase your chances of success.
You may have increased the amount you are posting, not many did as the feeds have dried up to a trickle. If you were smart then that was a good move on your part. Did you look for more followers? It would have been easier if you had increased the number of daily posts as you would have found a few that way. Reading other posts and exploring other areas you don't normally venture into is another approach you may have taken.
Investing from your post payouts into a few revenue producing schemes such as @steembasicincome. It would only have cost one Steem per share and a high chance you may have received one back in return from a lucky recipient. Steem is still below $1 and will seem cheap next year for these shares. When the market turns and the value of Steem rises so will that vote value. Maybe you will kick yourself in 6 months or a year when you look at the price of Steem and wished you had invested a little.
There is something brand new where quite a few users are delegating SP to @steem-ua where from as little as 25 Sp (1 vote per week) right up to 250SP (7 votes a week). This is a opportunity to get on the ground floor of a brand new scheme. I have no idea what the vote value will be so will wait and see and every little bit adds up.
What you could have done is just powered up and there is nothing wrong with that as growth is key over this period. Unfortunately not a lot of users have taken advantage over the quiet period as my feed definitely went quiet with the same users posting regularly while others disappeared altogether. i don't know how many more quiet periods we are going to have and if you haven't climbed in and done something I suggest you do now. It is all about giving yourself the added tools in order to succeed and to not sit idle.
Most of the users I know have done some or all of the above and have grown immensely and are looking forward to whatever happens next. I have used Steemplus for this post and is my first time using it. Trying new things is the way to go I think.

That @steem-ua is a great example, they upvoted some of my post's after delegating 25sp. I just checked 66 cents, wow I am going to upgrade it to 100sp.

My VP is so low it didn't even count for much.
Anyways, it is nice to see how seriously you're taking this platform. You kind of inspire me to take it more seriously too. Lets us keep growing and waiting till it all comes together

We need to keep ourselves going with a push here and there. It is tough and I have felt the strain but need to just keep moving.
