Because thinking about who you want to be is easy.

You just need to add in the nice, fancy details that lift you up, or can lift anyone up for that matter.

To be honest with who you are is way harder.

It's scary.

It's dark.

It's seeing shit you know is there, but you don't want to see it.

It's hearing shit you know is loud and clear, but you try to block it out.

It's facing the demons that need to be faced; the side of you that makes you look and feel bad.

It's exposing your weaknesses, making you feel like a loser.

But it has got to be done.

For doing anything to avoid that would only cause it to fester.

And one day it will come back to haunt you in full force.
