Himalayan Pink Salt

Background

200 million years ago there were many crystallized sea salt beds covered with lava.

Due to being positioned in snow & ice, this salt was preserved from pollution & stayed in untouched, healthy environment until today.

That kind of unique protection, made it arguably one of the most nutritious salts on the planet.

Himalayan mountains stretch all the way across Asia, passing through India, Afghanistan, Bhutan, Pakistan, Nepal & China. Various cultures around the planet believe this is the purest type of salt that can be found on Earth.

Why So Special?

The salt has 84 identical minerals & elements that can be found in human body. Some of them are: Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium, Sodium Chloride etc. It's interesting to add, when consuming Pink salt you actually intake less sodium due to it not being refined so much, therefore being in larger pieces.

Conclusion

I use Himalayan Pink salt daily, and I'd never change it for that classic processed salt again. The difference is obvious, and the cleaner your body will become you'll spot it instantly. It's just amazing, the wide array of uses this salt can produce. You can easily ditch all your cosmetics & just bathe in it, and after few weeks you'll realize how your skin is softer than ever... but that's just the surface effect. What it does to our internal organs is simply amazing, whenever I lose electrolytes & I feel I need a change, I always drink my water from the source with the pink salt. The benefits are instant & I'll probably never stop consuming it... Great alternative is Celtic Salt, & that is the only other salt I would recommend you to use. Which of these 2 to choose, is completely up to you!

I especially use Himalayan Salt in the kitchen. For me it is the best salt, because its natural and without any chemical additives. I think that the daily consumption has a lot of benefits.

There isn't a great difference between both salts. It's mostly hyped also because people are much MUCH better off with no added salt in the diet. Himalaya salt is 98% NACL (tablesalt) the orange color is mostly oxidized iron.

All in all it sounds great but it's not proven by real science. It's better than the factory salts but you are better of not using it....

@gogreenbuddy I find it interesting you should say this about the Himalaya salt as I have been questioning it in the recent months. We've used it for years but there is mounting evidence that it is really not all it's cracked up to be. I agree with you that we are better off with no added salt, but the reality is that it is another addiction - of which I to am guilty - so we need a good alternative

I am a big fan of Himalayan salt. It is far superior over table salt. I use it every day.

Wowo with so many benefit, this is a boon for a good health. Though living in India, I am not aware of it frankly...never heard of it.
Any natural thing is far more better than any processed item. Table salt is crushed to use while natural is consumed as it is.....i will definatelly look out for such thing

Another good salt is from the dead sea it has so much life force in it when I make ormus I use dead sea salt and Pink Himalayan Salt there is more life force in dead sea salt
I use pink Himalayan salt every day when I make magnetic water so good magnetic water regulates the ph in your body

The problem with the Dead Sea salt @voice9 is that it is not self regenerating. They have overmined that beautiful wonder of the world. I wouldn't be surprised if it is gone in a decade or two. The greed of mankind is really destructive

Well written and informative post @enjoyinglife. We have used Himalayan salt for years HOWEVER I am disturbed by growing evidence that it is actually not that amazing. I'm certainly not about to stop using it. But I am certainly going to do research of my own. As with all things #naturalmedicine it is important that we question everything
