Samsung Galaxy S10 is a 'crypto phone'

It looks like Samsung is adapting blockchain-functionalities into their next phone, the Samsung Galaxy S10. Several promotional videos and images for the new phone showcase the use of the Enjin-wallet. The Galaxy S10 has something called a Keystore, which presumably is a storage for private keys for cryptocurrency wallets.

Details on this Keystore are still very vague, but Samsung has been eyeing blockchain-technology for a while now. One of the features that's seen in screenshots, is an in-wallet coin exchange that's supported by Kyber Network and Changelly.

Samsung, like other phone developers, wants to make its phones as advanced as possible. Embracing blockchain would be a logic step, now or in the near future. A wallet and payment solution that supports crypto would benefit consumers, as its provides an easy way to pay for items, apps, or transfer money.

If Samsung would embrace blockchain fully, and the entire S10 generation is enabled to introduce people into crypto, than potentially 31 million customers are getting in touch with Enjin, Bitcoin and Ethereum. It could be a landmark moment for the crypto market and a major push towards mainstream adoption.

Samsung will start shipping the Samsung Galaxy S10, S10+ and S10e starting from March 7th. The Samsung Galaxy S10 5G will be available in June. These phones start at a price of $749.99 up to $1599.99 for the most advanced version with 1TB storage.
