Strategies to Expanding SteemPress Further. Part 1

As all of you know - WordPress has many plugins inside its ecosystem...

SteemPress is now one of them. However! There is a WordPress plugin called "WooCommerce" - an alternative platform to Shopify, which allows you to create your own e-commerce store.

Now, WooCommerce can in fact itself be considered an independent platform - having various e-commerce related plugins INSIDE it.

The point here is that inside WooCommerce - e-commerce store owners integrate a payment gateway and decide what money they want to accept... with one optio being cryptocurrency.

Having already established a relationship (resulting in a very impressive success, thanks to @fredrikaa and @howo) with WordPress as a whole - why not go further down the rabbithole and propose for an integration of Steem cryptocurrency to be integrated into WooCommerce payment gateway (for all e-commerce store owners, of course)?

  1. Coming back to blogging: there is, of course, a professional blog platform Medium.com.

Having integrated Steem into WordPress - why not do the same with Medium.com? Or even Reddit itself? Or may there be certain reasons why this hasn't already being done?

P.S: After we conquer WooCommerce - let's do the same with Shopify!!! ;)

Steem On!

I recall dabbling with WooCommerce & crypto a year or two ago. There was an altcoin payment gateway that had support for Steem. It wasn’t the most customer friendly/streamlined process, but it showed a hint of what could be done. It’d be great to have tools like that developed further.

Thanx Brian!
Can you recall why exactly wasn't it customer friendly and what generally happened to it?
