Buthidaung: Burmese Border Guard Police (BGP) made another three Rohingya a Prey of their arbitrary arrest and money extortion in a village-tract of Buthidaung Township on 27th November 2018, reports a local.
The three Rohingya arrested from Mingisi (Mee Kayung Zey) village tract were earlier sent a notice on 21st November, by accusing them of being involved in the Arakan Rohingya Salvation Army (ARSA).

Three of the victim from the same village-tract were arrested at 2:00 am and extorted 700, 000 Kyats per person. Later at 11 AM, they were released from the Tanug Bazaar BGP camp after engulfing the huge sum.
They were identified as Ibrahim S/O Abu Fawzal, Abu Sufiyan S/O Abdu Malik from San Thay village and Kulli Mullah from Bo Gyi Chaung village of the same village tract.
According to locals in 12 village tracts of northern Buthidaung Township, the Burmese government is illegally building 12 concentration camps for trapping the returning Rohingya in the name of Internally Displaced People’s Camp (IDP).
For the construction of that illogical settlements the evacuated village tracts such as Gudar Pyin, etc were selected, where mass killings took place in place in late 2017.

In alignment to such illegal activities, Rohingya are suffering from all aspects of human need such as education, health-care and livelihood in northern Arakan state.
Locals complained about their children’s education, as any Rohingya child can hardly attend the government schools.

Besides education, children and elderly Rohingya are reported to die very easily with diseases such as Hepatitis C/B, due to the lack of immediate treatment.
Since 2012 state-sponsored violence, the genocidal operation was seen to be intensifying on Rohingya, which Burmese government concluded in late 2016-2017, by sending 1.3 million (more than a half no. of the population) towards the makeshift camps of Bangladesh.
