On this this this famed example of French Gothic architecture Chris and Jansing is joining here in the studio with a little more Chris yeah you can see the way the smoke is going out and there has been all kinds of debris that's following obviously ash that is falling from the sky so that's why they extended where people could go they move people further and further away and restaurants one of the great places to go and sit and just watch the world go by are these cafes that are literally just across the street just across the way from notre-dame Cathedral and so people were there and they described as I've been trying to follow this on French media on Milan newspaper people were just feeling almost a rain shower of ash coming down this is as you point out in the very center of Paris so you'll be able to see it from much of that city but even though at any time of year I know the last couple of times I've gone to Notre Dom I've noticed how much longer the lines have gotten to get in so many more people have been travelling to Europe and wanting to see this iconic Cathedral but this is Holy Week yesterday obviously a very important day with Palm Sunday then there would have been special services going on all week long on Holy Thursday on Good Friday and of course a high-mass that would be taking place on Easter on Sunday president Trump has tweeted about this thing so horrible to watch the massive fire in Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris on the phone with me now is that
