Is Social Media Good or Bad?

in steempress •  5 years ago

It seems to be the "in thing" to do these days to bash social media.

Well, I have a different position that you might not have considered. However I'd love to hear from you and get your take. Please leave a comment below and let us know. Many people have a variety of opinions and this is a chance to share them peacefully and in a civil way.

Thank you for stopping by and I look forward to hearing from you.

Have to say I disagree. Using decentralised platforms I can agree with but it does take away from time we should be spending together and in nature. The problem is the addictiveness of it with disconnects us from the real world searching to be better than those around us creating a very narcissistic society.

We need to connect in the physical and enjoy outdoors this is good for our soul and connection to the human consciousness. Groups in the flesh rather than sitting a home on your own and disconnecting to the word around you 💯🐒

I hear you, @vibeof100monkeys (colorful avatar). We do need that time in nature, with real people in the same room, etc. I think it is not either/or but it is both/aand.

In my business I'm regularly connecting with people around the world., Recently I just visited England and Ireland and saw many good friends. We shared one or two pints, lots of laughs, and learned a lot. At the same time we connect regularly over socialmedia and that helps to keep the bonds going.

Both = the answer. I have friends scattered across the globe in many different countries. It would be impossible to see all of them on a regular basis without social media, video, etc.

Thank you for your helpful comment. Please come back and visit again,.
