One of the most surreal experiences I have ever had was visiting the DMZ in Korea. It was strange to be riding on a tour bus through a very heavily defended area. In one of the gift shops, we were able to purchase souvenirs from North Korea, and alcohol was one of the main items. So I picked up this bottle of brandy, boy because I'm a big fan of brandy, I just thought the label looked cool. The gold dust seemed like a nice added bonus.
Sadly, for the price I paid (about 50 USD) the quality was definitely not on par with the appeal of the label. This particular spirit was anything but smooth, and probably would be better suited for stripping paint. I found that drinking this was less about enjoyment, and more about putting it down quickly. I will say this was some incredibly potent brandy, it definitely gets you buzzed quickly. But at that price point, it's not the most economical way to get drunk. I will say, even after it's all gone, I plan on keeping that bottle as pretty cool souvenir from an amazing trip.
Cheers!
Man, that is really interesting stuff! IT's like Goldschlager Brandy... :) What other type of alcohol were available to purchase from N. Korea? Cheers from @steempub-trail and friends!!

Lol, trust me this stuff makes Goldschlager seem like a fine wine.
