My nose! What did you cut this with...fruit???

At first, I was caught by surprise. My nose was too. My nose flared the moment I inhaled it. Eversince, I have been at a loss for words. I wish I could interrogate the maker. Should I kiss you or slap you? What have you sold me that has tickled my nose and has the hairs swaying?

Did you cut this with lavender, hibiscus, or what kind of flower? Did you cut this with pineapple, lychee, papaya, what type of fruit?

I had been so use to the product of New Zealand with a stronger herbal influence with just a touch of kiwi and starfruit. I have also tasted the French kind, providing a mineral yet earthy flavor with nuances of lime, honeydew, and flowers. I decided to open my mind and buy from elsewhere.

I let it touch my tongue. My taste buds danced. Wow! The flavors of pineapple, lime, and mango. Not like any other sauvignon blanc I have had before. This was definitely fruit forward and easy to drink by itself.

I am so addicted to this non-traditional sauvignon blanc that comes from Central Coast California that is called Meridian. When I use the word "non-traditional", wine snobs please do not get offended! I am not a sommelier but I have drank enough wine to know that most sauvignon blanc are dry, light bodied with flavor nuances of kiwi, gooseberry. Some tend to be chalky, all very herbal or strong with a floral bouquet, and most have a mineral taste. Meridian is none of the above!

Meridian Sauvignon Blanc can easily be paired with any salad that contains nuts or fruit, pasta primavera with a light sauce, fried zucchini, or fried mushrooms.

I highly recommend this wine to beginner wine drinkers. If you live in Texas or any other hot and humid climate, buy Meridian Sauvignon Blanc in cases. Please tread carefully because this wine is smooth and easy to drink! It is the perfect sitting on the porch, high school or family reunion, Sip-N-See, funeral repast, I just grounded my child and now my nerves are bad, or just 'cause I want to have a drink type of wine.

Don't forget my fellow Steemians, wine lushes, and party goers...please drink responsibly!

I love the way you speak about wine! You should look into French Sauvignon Blanc, Sancerre is a good place to start. White Bordeaux is a good option as well, and is usually blended with a grape called Semillon, really god stuff, not as light and almost a waxy characteristic. Cheers from @steempub-trail, thanks for posting here!
