Excerpt from Mahler's Symphony No. 5 - Siam Sinfonietta, cond. Sucharitkul

This is conducted by an OLD friend of ours from sf fandom, who just happened to become a very substantial author and composer of "serious" music.

Composer of DasJati, Mae Naak, Dan no Ura. Author of Vampire Junction, Jasmine Nights, Mallworld.

He is also one of the great contemporary orchestral conductors and music directors, doing some very adventurous work in this very tradition-laden world.

Does anyone know how to embed the FB player, rather than having to link? This is a YOUTH ORCHESTRA, put together from several groups with only a few days' rehearsal, and THIS is the quality of work they are capable of...

Vote this up enough and I'll start a anonsteem account in his name, for his exclusive benefit- I'll probably do it anyway, but have to build the account more as I plan on giving accounts to several dozen people and don't have anything like the power to do that yet, it will take much longer than a week.

Thank you so much for posting this. It was a great introduction to steemit for me, and now I've started regularly posting some of our performances as well which I hope people will enjoy. At some stage, I'll also post the entire performance which this excerpt came from.
