Following on from my comment on the post above, which shows very clearly how closely correlated (and probably causally linked) post counts on Steem are to the Steem price, I think it should therefore be obvious that something needs to be done to boost engagement by enriching the features of the platform.

I am going to call this idea #steemseeding

What it is, is people who have SBD and Steem that they want to invest in some way in the Steem platform, but not just to lock it up in SP for the benefits that has individually, but instead directing their investment towards funding development projects that users are working on and publishing about. The interface does not provide easy means to this in either such as a 'tip button' that lets you transfer some SBD or Steem to another user, and the degree to which an aspiring, and working developer is connected into those who are looking for ways to fund Steem development, are connected in their follow/followed social network.

I am going to make a chatroom in the Steemit rocketchat called #steemseeding, and invite anyone with an interest either a developer seeking funding to continue their work, or those looking for projects to support, and maybe even influence, to gather and form a mutual aid group to help accelerate things. The new Steem Bounties that the developers are working on are a great thing, but in the interim between getting to work on a project, and having something built first that wins a bounty, could be accelerated by a little more funding before the result is completed.
