How do you all do out there in the big cities, hamlets, and rural areas of the Steem Nation!! Welcome to D Wing’s World: Where information and adventure await!! The title of this blog post pretty much gives you the general idea of where this piece of writing is heading. However, I think this is an important topic to cover because it deals with a community that I am very fond of and proud to be a part of: Silver Stackers/Coin Collectors/ and Steem(Crypto) Enthusiasts. I am going to dive into the personal reasons that I opted to pick up two of these rounds (I know only two, but my budget is not that large).
When I first looked at the announcement for this round from @Phelimint, I was on the fence of whether or not I wanted to purchase one at all. This is important to remember because my mind set had to shift in order for me to spend my hard earned money on it. The first modification to my thinking came after I started reflecting on the community as a whole. When I say community I mean all the silver stackers, coin collectors, and crypto enthusiast that kind of group together not only on Steemit, but on other social media platforms as well. I am fairly new in this community, and they all welcome me with open arms. They shared knowledge, stories, and ideals that made me feel like I was at a home away from home. This is truly what this round when on to symbolize for more. The more I thought about it and asked myself why I should purchase this a little voice inside me said because it is supporting all those that have supported you in the past. Now, even more beautiful is that our community designed, chose, and produced this by working together. The design was voted on by the community it would come to represent and the designer @bearone is part of our great community! Then add in @phelimint (fantastic mint that was brought to life by passion, commitment, and a dream) and boom the progression from idea to physical silver wealth is complete! The designer and I actually have the same thoughts on how Steemit is about community and how there are just some many great connections made here.
This is a perfect time to illustrate how the designers’ very words of “I wanted to represent community with the fish swimming together and community written in Latin, French, English, and Tagalog” got me even more on board. The details she includes are familiar and resonate with the majority of our community. For instance, showing the life cycle on Steemit of starting out as a minnow and the progression to a whale and the word community in many languages to display how we all are from different places, but united. This type of symbolism deepened the intrigue I had with the round.
The last factor that weighed into my choice was the rounds significance and their . There are only 1500 of these rounds minted, which is a very low mintage for something that represents a social media platform that has such a large following. Additionally, I see the round as a sign post marking a new frontier that has been entered. Steemit is a really interesting and revolutionary way to explore different content, while putting the power into the actual users hands. This type of social platform is something that nobody really controls, but we as users interact and try to select the best content possible. Furthermore, I have not often been on the front lines of something new and exciting that has the potential to yield great rewards for all those involved. I believe that with Steemit all those in our community, myself included are in a great position to reap rewards from this early investment. This round will be a symbol of when I was part of something new and innovative right at the beginning, and that is really cool in itself.
In Short, the 1500 rounds are sold out now and those that have them are truly luck to own such a wonderful representation of not only our community, but of the steps into the future we are all taking. Please reply below and let me know what you think of the round and why you purchased or did not purchase it. Thanks so much please upvote, follow, and resteem!!

Yeah, and they look cool too!

Totally!! Love the design for sure!

I agree. Cool coin for what it represents and real low mintage. And yes, the .999 silver.

Thank you so much for your input and the silver does not hurt at all!! I always like milestone items that contain more intrinsic value through the type of material they are made with! Thanks for the input!

I was also on the fence, agree with many of your thoughts, I bought in the first round of 1000, purchasing when there were only about less than 35 left.....It would be cool to have the 1000 of 1500 numbered coin..........

Happy to see that I was not alone in my thought process! It would be awesome to end up with one of the milestone numbers. Thanks so much for the reply!!

Awesome post for the steemit round man! I picked up 2 for myself also. I really think the design can't really get better than what it is in the fact of what it represents.

Thats awesome @grizzman!! I think the design is amazing, but I really think the meaning and how it is a milestone marker totally pushed me over the edge!! Thanks for replying bud!

Thanks for the great post man, I love the community design too, and feel the same way about all the support and friends I've made here from all around the world.

Thanks so much!! I am happy that you enjoyed it and I just wanted to express how I worked through the whole decision. Thanks again!
