Hey all.

I was itching from the stackitis today, and as some of you know,I love bargain hunting. So off to the thrift shop.

It's not winter anymore, that's an old picture...

I did OK today, nothing overly cheap, but there was a couple bargains

So there's the bill, and here's the treasures

A couple of 925 silver necklaces.

Anyway, I got home and cleaned them up with some jewelry cleaner and they're pretty nice, they should resell nicely, or go around Mrs. Elvis's neck nicely... You know my Carribean Queen needs her bling!

These are nice vintage silver pieces, and the dragonfly has a little stone, looks like cut glass, likely is. But not a bad price, so I'm pretty happy.

Thanks for reading!

Nice score at the VV.

Thanks. You gotta check every week! They move a lot of junk in there. But there are some treasures

Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold

cute:D

that heart is nice, gotta get some picts to put in it.
:D

I should be able to, would be a nice touch for the wife!

when you open it there should be 2 hearts that pop out, you put the picture in and put the heart back over it. if that makes sense. or atleast the one i have from my great grandmother does. looks to be about the same size but thats about it.
:D

the hard part imo is finding a picture small enough to fit in it that doesnt just look like a dot.
lol

Yeah, I bet.I did one for my wife with a couple pictures in it but it is about an inch wide, this one's about 1/2 inch.

Might need to find a camera that takes film and a place that does real picture printing.
:D

Nice bargains Big E! I am sure whether it goes to the Mrs. or gets resold, someone is going to be very happy.

Thanks Knowledge-seeker. I think she'll like the dragonfly one for sure. The heart may move on...

smart..I do the same man...treasure hunting..and you are going to prosper..

Thanks Yankee. It's a fun hobby, and is just another way to stack silver.

Nice finds and they cleaned up great. 👍🏻

Thanks Mr. V. They did, there was some bad yellow timing on the one, but it seems to have come off nicely.

Hmmm, I never thought of going to thrift shops to look for silver. You just gave me a good idea!

I try to go every week. And I go to different ones when I'm working away from home as well. I've made some really nice scores on gold in the past.

I went to a few flea markets here in Edmonton, and that was a huge disappointment. I couldn’t find any bargains on precious metals anywhere. I was better off just going to the coin shops, but I would tend to think there might be some hope for the local thrift shops!

Flea markets tend to be more collectors selling, and they almost always want over spot for jewelry, and blue book value on coins, almost never below spot. A good place to find coins, for a collection sometimes.

I go to the flea market for antique knives and Military items, but very rarely leave with coins or jewelry. But the bargain shops, and especially garage sales can be real treasure troves!

@fat-elvis for the win!

👍. Even a little score counts! Especially with nice jewelry, it can resell nicely sometimes...

Nice one @fat-elvis. I haven't seen a Value Village since I lived in Bellingham Washington in the 90's!!!

We have 5, I think on Saskatchewan. And Salvation Army stores all over the place. But I don't see them in many more places it seems. A great place sometimes for bargains on silverware and jewelry.

Dragonfly is cool!

Thanks man. Yeah, it's the one that caught my eye in the shop. It has a bit of weight as well.

You are spoiling her.😉
