2014 Australian Stock Horse. "Cash me outside" Edition

in steemsilvergold •  7 years ago  (edited)

It's warming up, that means it's time to start taking my stack for a walk. Today I had to run out to get a hair cut so I decided to corral this 2014 Australian 1 oz silver Stock Horse and go

These are produced by Perth and have relatively low mintage (10k) and sell for quite a premium. I think I paid $40 Canadian for this one and now sells for around $100 ..although I don't know who's paying that?

The Stock Horse series began in 2013 and there has been 5 different coins released. This is the only one I'm buying because I'm trying to get out of collecting these over priced pieces, I just liked the design and bought it impulsivly awhile ago. The only way I'd get my money back on this coin is if I sold it online which is a hassel. My local coin shop would give me a dollar or two over spot for it..

Ofcourse all of the Perth offerings have the 'Ice Queen' on the back

This horsie enjoyed the walk, we stopped and it grazed upon the grass

Then we galloped down the train tracks and stopped at the saloon for a beer and a haircut

Mandatory water shot, can't go too far around here without hitting a coastline..

Beauty day, thanks for checking out my post and a reminder to #steemsilvergold that it's nice to take your gold and silver outta the safe sometimes and get some air!

Horse coin looks like a beauty!

That's what bugs me about the pretty coins.. I don't so much mind investing in numismatic value, but it seems like a hassle to actually get paid that value. I don't want to have to work for it and be a salesman and stuff.

Yeah it's nice to have some different shit to look at but I've thought about the hassel it will be to resell all these different coins one day. I dont really want to have a store on eBay. Now I'm mostly buying lower cost silver and splurging on my world gold. The premiums I'm paying now are for coins 100+ years old seems more justified

ya, and at least when it's gold it's a bigger amount so you'd only need to take on the hassle in big gulps with one buyer.. as opposed to like 30 different coins for the same amount

I have all 5, i do feel sad they arn't minting any more, they were supposed to be a 10 coin series sanctioned by EMK coins in Germany but they ended them early. I have 2 x 2013 and i bought one of them for steem a few weeks back when steem was much higher, which was nice :)

Oh I didnt know they stopped!? That should do well for these then over time perhaps? Emk is the company Andrea from the Coin Couch on Youtube works for.. She's good people 👍😎 Thanks for checking out my post!

How 'bout da! Not even Jealous spring is hitting the east coast before Canada's cock shaft (southern Ontario)

"Cock shaft!" Hahahaha

I guess you no longer have a fur-long hey?

🤣👍

That one is the best horse i have seen outta Perth... you’ve got the eyes, of a tiger!

They did a good job with the design on it. Reminds me of a Ford Mustang logo kinda

It reminds me to get my ass outta’ the house and to go and buy some more loot!

Cheers GA! I’mma big fan 👊😎

My mother would love that coin. She grew up on a farm and LOVES horses.

Yeah horses are the best! Thx for stopping by Shaun 👊😎

Very nice post

This coin is really beautiful. I am not a horse lover but it saddens me that they cancelled the series.

Amazing coin, love horses especially silver ones! :)

The one stock horse I got has a milk spot. lucky I didn't pay a lot for it. Graded as well They are nice coins though. better than a swan or emu.
All came with coa as far as I know. great shot bud

That was sweet of you to let the horsie run. They gotta stretch those legs from time to time. Looks like a nice walk.
