Big 8 Oz. Walking Liberty Round

This bad boy, or more accurately stated - this bad girl is one of only a few other unusual bits of shiney in my humble little stack. But it's pretty cool so I'm happy to share it with the other #Steemsilvergold stackers.

I mainly try to only buy common kinds of bullion for metal value, because when I get into collector mode I tend to stop thinking like an investor and just act like a hoarder. :P And with metals (and cryptos:) that's not necessarily a bad thing. :))

But when you get sloppy and pay a really big, costly premium, like I did with this item here, it kind goes against the main principle - namely to diversify in a way that preserves the value of capital. Oh well, can't win em all. And besides, some times you have to spend a little extra to have something fun to show off.

And hey - just look at that shine...

(though unfortunately not quite gem brilliant as there's a bit of tarnish on both side...)

If it were actual coinage it would be pretty impractical to use as pocket change...

(She's obviously big enough to itimidate the little one oz Sunshine Mint round and quarter, but the Sunshine round definitely caught most of the shine here:)

And that's what I got for on this chilly Saturday night here in Philly.

Hope you enjoyed the pics and as always, I'm interested in hearing your thoughts, tips, stacking stories and metals philosophy.

Take care, be aware and always prepare.
Best,
