Antiqued Figure 8

After the grand series of the colored dragons set, it is a hard act to follow.

But I do have one more to share, which I hope you will like. The twin dragons in figure 8!

This 'coin' is obviously targeted to the Chinese market. The number 8 in Chinese sounds phonetically similar to 'wealth'. There is a limited mintage of 8,888 which of course, further emphasizes the target market. Limited but not exactly a small number of mintage either.

The design shows two dragons encircling each other, meeting at the center. P is the mint-mark for the Perth Mint. It has an antiqued silver tone.

It comes in the acrylic display case, suitable for showing.

On the back, this is denominated as AUD 2 dollars legal tender, and is a 2oz silver coin. Queen E II takes the middle spot, and around the circular holes, shows a patterned 8 design, which I found quite pleasant to look at.

It comes packaged nicely, with an outer box showing the figure eight design.

The inner box, a plain black box with the Perth Mint brand and logo. It would be cool if they did private rounds of that swan. I would buy that!

Within it sits the CoA, and the coin in display case underneath. Overall, well-packaged and protects the coin.

What do you think of this piece of 8??

@rewards-pool where a small delegation can get you a big splash.

That is one great looking piece. Love the idea of the acrylic display case so you can show it off and not worry about handling it.

Yeah, I like that it was packaged that way.

Beautiful coin, with a different from normal design. Capsules should be on all coins/rounds/bars that have a premium. Protection is fundamental.

Yeah, I think the design was a little gimmicky, but it worked out well.
The acrylic block seems to have sealed it pretty well, though I think it is just held by magnets. Not going to open it though.

I have seen a couple of these is different posts and I am always amazed. This is one awesome coin. A real work of art. Thanks @khamen!

Yes, I agree. The design is unique, and its twin dragons!! I could imagine it as a 1-dragon design too though.
