On my last trip to the Local Coin Shop, it was slim pickings in the generic silver department. But they did have this round. I have kind of a penchant for religious symbols, as well as unusual silver rounds, so it seemed like a logical thing for me to pick up, even though I didn't know anything about it. Turns out a lot of thought went into the creation of this round and it has a huge backstory that stretches from Bosnia to Alabama. You can read a bit about it here.
I wish I knew the story of how this round ended up at the coin shop. Was it purchased with some hope of Divine assistance? Was it inherited and then sold for melt? Is there a warehouse full of them, because they didn't sell as well as the creator hoped? I'll likely never know. But whatever its journey may be, it's +1 oz to the stack.
Very nice, makes me want to go to the coin shop myself.

Thanks. I like that I never quite know what I'm going to find.
