Poured this today. 2.2 ounces Welshie.
The picture does not do it justice.
The back has nice ripples where the silver cooled. The front has a good bit of detail.
I have learned a couple of tricks lately that allow the Silver to finish with more shine and more smoothly.
I tried to pour this Welsh Dragon as one ounce and the mold said: "What are talking about". This is too big of a mold for just an ounce.
2.2 is a little on the heavy side to be most symmetrical. Notice the little triangle shaped edge where my thumb is.
It does, however, make a good place to hold it and gives an extra .2 of an ounce.
A 2-ounce pour would take the lip off. Personally, I like it with a little extra weight.

When the molds are hot the silver doesn't cool so fast and the surface is shinier.
It seems if I do not pre-heat the molds it cools fast and uneven and is prone to more of a blobby type edge and finish.

Never almost taken a swig as I am hyper safety focused and dont want ti burn the house down.
Silver is anti-microbial and edible. If I swallowed some it would be like taking a mild anti-biotic unless I swallowed say 2 ounces and THAT my friend WOULD be hard to pass.

My molds do talk to me....the skull scares me a little.
One trick I learned is to make the molds very hot before I pour. It seems like the ripples are best then.
I pour, put the cruicible in the furnace, then empty the mold, then i carefully pick up the silver and drop it in a coffee cup full of cold water.
The water briefly boils. Then I take out the silver with my bare hands and gaze at its beauty.
