Look, Can You See It?

20170806_143559.jpg

Yeah, I thought you could. Those that dont know what it is, it is a SEXY 100 oz bar of silver.

Thats over $1600.00 usd, all in one hand.

Alright, enough show and tell. Lets get down to the real reason of this post.

look, Can You See It

20170806_143639.jpg

What? You cant see it? Come on look harder! Still nothing?

I'll help you, thats one Bitcoin, worth over $3,200 usd

are you catching on, what, still not getting it

Let me explain it to you then, that 100oz bar of silver, yeah that sexy bar, I OWN it. It is in my hand, which make me the rightful owner.

I have never been able to hold a Bitcoin, or any other crypto.

Now before my crypto buddies get mad, let me explain a little more.

Do I think crypto's are a good investment? Yes I do.
Do I think it is a good way to preserve your wealth? NO I don't.

IF YOU CANT TOUCH IT, YOU DON'T OWN IT

Your crypto wallet can disappear in a second. You could get hacked, or massive power outage, or even your government, they could turn the switch off on the world wide web. If even one of these three things where to happen, you would be at a loss. That 100oz bar will be there if any one of these three things happen.

Don't get me wrong, I am not against crypto, I own some, from bitcoin to steem but it is an investment not protection.

When The Fiat System Collaspes

When the fiat system collaspes, which one will you want to be holding.

silver, gold is forever, not going anywhere.

crypto, well I am not to for sure anyone knows.

Protect yourself and your wealth, with silver and gold.

Make your money with crypto's

It's okay to have both crypto and silver or gold, but it not okay not to have silver or gold

Good post Ray. What you said about "if you can't lay your hand on it, you don't own it" is powerful investment advice. I too have some bitcoin and other cryptos, but i also hold pms.

Yesterday i converted some btc at ath to silver & gold and i feel good about it. I have my btc safe (i think...) but i also lost a small amount when btc-e got ransacked by big gov. I hope i get my money back, obviously, but if i don't , then i still have some loot that will never let me down ;)

BTC-e getting goxed is a wakeup call to everybody. By all means invest in the most exciting monetary project on the planet, but also, be smart! Hold some REAL money, by definition, where you can lay your hands on it if (or when) TSHTF.

Cheers Ray!

That bar looks like it would fit, perfectly, in back pocket, of a pair of jeans. Or, does that guy, have big hands?

That bar weighs about 6lbs -- it'd be kinda unwieldly for a back pocket.

You got me @raybrockman
I still love me some BTC but point taken...
That 100oz is OUTSTANDING...

There is something about those four 9s

Only thing that would be better us 100% thanks for the visit.

This Post reminds me of Gregory Mannarino... He makes his money Trading Stocks, but he uses his Profits to buy Silver... Good Post...
@pocketechange

If you can't physically keep it away from the government then it ain't yours

True, but they can always outspend and outlast a single person or smaller group.

I think diversity is the key.. The more options you have the harder it is to lose everything. So gold, silver, cryptos, and cash should all be an option because they all have a part to play. As does a store of food and water but also a veg garden or a few small animals and a safe place to go in an emergency.
The more options the better

I think that crypto's are where it's all headed but as I see it should poo-pie hit the fan and I need to feed my family, I'm just not sure how my fellow farmers will fill about taking a digital value in exchange for something that will surely be in very high demand. In my view true currency is anything that someone will take in exchange for goods or services offered or needed. I raise animals for food and if there was a electrical grid issue I would not take a crypto printed on paper in exchange for my livestock. Nor do I think that my neighbors would take crypto's for veggies and eggs. Bottom line is when you need to trade to stay alive are you willing to go into that arena with an electronic currency? It may work while all systems are go, but I would rather hold God's money (silver and gold) as a hedge against the unknown.

Remember God and His Word, He will give you true knowledge, wisdom and take care of all your needs if you love and serve Him with a pure heart. Store your treasures in Heaven where moth and rust can not destroy, Just say'n..... Blessings to you and yours! Shalom, Brother Charlz

Very well said my friend, you can never go wrong with gods momey, silver and gold. Thanks for the visit and comment.

Great reply

"Argent Pur" is one of the most magical phrases in this world. I also like Argent Massif, Plata Pura, Plata Maiza, Sterling Silver, 999! Man o man I guess I am a silver-bug too as these words/phrases jolt me as much as a starbucks.

Great post buddy, that picture with the empty made me lol. You have my upvote as normal, keep them comming.

Thanks, just trying to get some attention and may e an eye opener.

I have to agree with you on this. Crypto could be gone in a flash, silver and gold are forever and actually in your physical possession. I own some crypto and will be investing in more, but I'll invest mostly into physical silver and gold.

Thanks buddy, you gotta be able to touch it to say you
Own it

100%

An, a breath of refreshing air. Upvote and Resteem for you. Love it. raybrockman, check out my latest silver gold article. Cheers.

Thanks my friend.

Beautiful bar

Thank you sir.

love thar bar! good post too true

Thanks buddy

The price of silver is around $16. Steem is about $1.35. Which do you believe will double first?

Investment, I see steem doubling first. Silver all the way for protection. Thanks for the visit @doctorjohn

Right you are. I have no problem with people making money with Bitcoin and alternatives, but I would advise trading those profits for big hunks of metal like that one! Thanks for the post!

Appreciate that @fat-elvis . Thanks for the visit.

Booyah! 100 ozs of sexy silver there my man. I see it and I get it. Love the RCM bars all serialized and looking good. Thx for spreading the education. Alot of these kids don't get it. Sure make some money in the crypto field if you chose but don't sleep on the Silver/Gold. It's been a store of wealth for centuries. That won't change. Ppl used to exchange seashells and fiat currency fails. Know your history

Your right, they dont get it. Thanks for the visit buddy.

Great post and lovely bar of silver :)

Thanks

Solid piece of silver! You hold it You own it!

Consider that if the shit does hit then we may be in a dictatorship or even worse situation. In that case a lot of things may have to be bought on the black market. Have you read what happened in Venezuela? Did bitcoin go down or up in value? Yes silver and gold are nice to have, but crypto is more fungible especially in an emergency.

True so true. At the click of a button the internet could be gone. The power goes out and never comes back on. The paper in your wallet no one wants it, in exchange for goods but you sit pretty knowing you got shiny shiny bars or coins.

Upvoted and resteemed! What a beautiful bar and succinct explanation of the matter at hand! Thanks for sharing with us!

I used to think cryptos were no good and only saved metals. And it is technically
sound it limits your options and puts you in a box mentally-financially and could be self defeating. You can't take it with you and it's isn't fun moving lots (tons) of pms around. There are tons of safe ways to get into crypto that can be just as rewarding. Just don't want anyone to get left behind because they are not flexible. Here is hoping silver starts heading back near 17, I though it was heading through and beyond soon, because I over bought silver last dip.

Nice one Ray,
I love the big chucks of metal. To feel the awesome weight in your hand is a empowering moment.
There's nothing like the shiny. I love it.

Very good points man I always advocate owning both crypto and precious metals as well. Always wanted one of those 100oz bars loving the size and shine! One con to think about with gold/silver too is someone could rob you if they find your stash or you go to trade it when the "world is coming to an end." Just like crypto can be hacked or the power grid go down, there are ways to lose anything. Strict security measures and diversification are your best bet!

Agree, but they cant carry the safe off, so they would have to crack it. Good point though.

Great article... playing devils advocate here... the last silver I bought was around $40 an ounce. I chose to continue my investments in silver and gold as I let my friend talk me out of buying bitcoin when it was hovering around $1. But I sure can post some pretty pictures of my coins! I got some kilos of copper also!

Post them pics, we love looking at silver. Thanks for the visit and comment.

I'm with you about silver and gold, especially silver!
Also crypto is a great investment. And you can play the crypto markets, make more crypto and transfer that into real silver!
That's a heck of a silver bar!!! Thanks for sharing !!!!!

Yeah that things heavy, I like your thought process. Play crypto's buy more silver. Thanks for the visit and comment @buster544

G'day. Very good post with a sensible approach. I agree, it's all about balance and common sense. I like to cover most bases and just change the mix depending on how things go. I have physical silver & gold, some cryptos, some gold / silver stocks, some pearls and gem stones and some physical cash in a few different currencies.
I reckon that covers most scenarios that might happen and still leaves me in a position to move it around if I need to.
There's nothing like getting your grubby hands on the physical stuff and knowing that you'll be OK when the inevitable happens!

I think it would be cool to cast a pound or two of silver, into small dumbbells, for joggers. Or better yet, turn a pair on a lathe. Any Machinist stackers out there?

You make it look so light, I have to hold mine with 2 hands :)
Looking good

Thanks for the visit my friend. I enjoyed your grocery store post, very true, I spent 18 years of my life in the grocery industry, a lot of bad things happen and a lot of waste.

Yeah it's a real eye-opener working in this industry, been collecting more evidence today, new post coming later :)

I hold about 4% of my net worth in silver and gold that are accessible to me at any time (not in some depository). Some people say it's the equivalent of a pet rock...hopefully those people have plenty of food, water, and ammunition if things ever do go south in a serious way.

And yes that is a beautiful thing that you're holding there. I never bought a 100 oz bar but I did pick up a kilogram (~32 oz) one time and it made me pretty happy. I used to wait anxiously when I had shipment of gold or silver coming to me and I'd get excited every time I opened the package the day it came.

It makes more financial sense to buy larger quantities but at the time I only had so much extra money to put into it. I haven't bought as much silver or gold as I was a year or two ago but I've been thinking about buying another good chunk of silver dips down into the 15's again. I haven't really followed the price as closely lately as I've been focused on cryptos. Maybe I need start following more closely.

Now is the time to buy silver and gold. Thanks for the visit and comment.

Great post man. In any sort of technology or infrastructure collapse people are going to be wishing they had something physical. But your right that while this hasn't happened yet cryptos can certainly be a good investment

Agree, thanks for the visit my friend

Hey Raybockman! Great post. Very good point as well because the coinbase theft situation that just happened. If you didn't withdraw BTC from them before the hardfork all BCC you should have had went to them ($400 each btc). I unfortunately had .3 btc, so lost out on 120 free dollars from the split. Damn Coinbase. I think I'm closing the account.

That sucks my friend, I use coin base, but I only buy litecoin with them. I haven't really found a wallet that as easy to use as coin base. Thanks again for that logo.

A majority of my holdings are in litecoin luckily. A solid asset I think.

This silver coin supports this perspective . . . BitCon

Crypto is like the "other woman" . She was a change of pace and fun for a while, but you can't walk away from the real thing!

Very informative article. Being able to own some silver or gold would be a great and lucrative investment. I'll have to learn more about this.

You should do that while the price is cheap.

Soon as i can make some money on crypto i will buy some sexy bars of silver and gold because they really are sexy.

Belive it or not Thanks to bch going up. I can already buy my first bar. so im going to while the thought is still there.
where is the best place to buy? any tips for what one to buy?
