First off we'll have a look at how many smartcash we have and who has what. The top screenshot of the total table and breaks down each smart-node into who owns what. It might be unreadable to some members so i have done a bigger version below to just show totals.


So with a grand total of 87,936k smartcash, our community smartnodes are worth $2053.37 at todays current price. That's enough to buy a lambo at scrap value.

What's happening with Smartcash?

Bitcoin confidential Airdrop

New cryptocurrency bitcoin confidential is launching and will be airdopping new coins on smartcash owners. Conditions are smartcash must be in an offline wallet were you control the private keys and a screenshot will take place on the 15th of Dec. We hold all our coins in the official (shit) smartcash wallet and we hold the private keys so i think we are good to go. After the screenshot is taken we wait until bitcoin confidential release their wallet and then we use our private keys to claim our new bitcoin confidential.
I think we should go into this with a plan and think a good plan would be to dump these new coin's. As soon as we get them, we should dump them onto the market and exchange for some real Bitcoin. We can use this BTC to buy some STEEM and split it up between everyone involved. We are already losing a bunch with smartcash and chances are these new coins will drop off in value after the first week are so. Same thing happens to every airdrop. Why not cash it in for once?

- Payout changes and super smart-nodes

Yes, you seen that correct, super-nodes!! As far as i can tell, they are planned for the start of 2019, there's not much information them yet it. The collateral required to run a super-node will be at a 6 figure number. We can look into this closer to the time but it might be out of our reach. The changes in payouts is bad news.Starting from early 2019 smart-rewards will change from a 30 day pay cycle to 90 days. This means if smartcash pay smart-rewards in Jan and someone buys smartcash in Feb, they would not receive any smart-rewards payment until June. That's not good and to make it worse, smart-rewards will be updated to require each address to participate in smart-voting to be eligible for rewards. This means i need to cast 7 votes each month. It's not a big problem to vote, its getting to vote. The wallet is a nightmare and i normally have to leave it overnight to fully open and sync. I wish they would fix the wallet to work properly. As far as our smart-nodes payments go, they will continue on as normal. I guess this is another, we'll wait and see what happens.

So to round up, we are still getting paid for our node's and rewards, we are set for the coming airdrop, payouts change's and super-nodes are coming early 2019. Smartcash will continue to announce stuff, do it half arsed and then announce something better to replace, rise and repeat. I still think this is a good long term hold, it has a good community.

Note: Just as final thought. You are all aware that these smart-nodes require a server to run from and that each smart-node has it's own server. Currently all 7 smart-nodes are being hosted on vultr with a cost of $5ish each per month. To date, i have paid out $203.73 in VPS costs and this figure goes up by around $35-40 every month. At the minute each node pays out $6.21 each month in smartcash so with the cost of the VPS being $5, it's tight. Im still cool to pay for these every month and i rarely talk about it, but members involved need to to be aware that VPS costs will be recouped before monies are split after selling any smartcash.
