The Legalized Collection, Washington Edition 1 Ounce Silver Roumd

in steemsilvergold •  6 years ago

Back in the early 90's I lived up in Bellingham, WA. I was in my early 20's and was a proponent of the legalization of Marijuana. I also smoked it like it was going out of style! So when @dfinney showed me a picture of this round, I had to have one.

While in Bellingham I was a member of NORML, the national organization for the reform of Marijuana laws, and I did quite a bit of work trying to get people to see thqt there were much better ways to spend tax dollars than busting someone for smoking a joint.

Now I'm not going to into the freaking politics of the whole thing, I don't even imbibe much anymore, but I do feel like I played a small part in helping get cannibis legalized in the state of Washington.

Plus, just look at the detail! I can just feel how ripped George is!

One of my favorite features, rim numbering!

As a limited edition of only 1000 I'm feeling this is a good investment as well.

Thanks for pointing this out to me @dfinney, and for sending one my way!

It is called "The Legalized Collection". Do you have any of the others?

I don't. I saw the Colorado one but it was sold out.

☺️ 🚬 💨

Glad George got to you. He looks so high I am surprised he found the way.😉

He totally has the munchies rn!
Thank again @dfinney.

Cool round! The motive is a fair one.

Thanks @ronaldoavelino. Even though it's more than 20 years on, I still feel like this a medal of achievement for all the work we did which was not usually well received at the time.

Cool looking round bro....was in a band in the early 90’s, lets just say it was lots of fun.

Oh shit, really? That's awesome!

oh that is boss would love to score one fro each state as they come lol

I saw Colorado but it was sold out.

The only way that this could have been better for you is if the mintage number was 0420. Haha!

Oh I bet! Now that I think about it, that is the only one that matters!

This is crazy - I just got this one in the mail yesterday!

That is nutty! What number did you get? :o

That's a great piece of silver there. Awesome that you lived in Bham in the 90's... I love it up there, nice little city tucked between Vancouver BC and Seattle.

Yeah it was great. Not sure what it is like now but it is a wonderful place. Thanks for checking in @plaid

Oh, my. Did the foundry that minted that round just put a joint on the First ever American President, known to many patriots as "Father of His Country"?

Thank you for your continued support of SteemSilverGold

Smoke on!

Nice :)
