Good afternoon, Steemians.

My first Power Down went through today, and I received over 84 Steem. I canceled the Power Down promptly afterwards, as to avoid another payout.

For these transactions, I did use my Exodus Wallet (which is free) and Blocktrades (don't even think you need an account).

I made a video for my YouTube channel which you watch below in which I explain step-by-step how to go from Steem to purchasing silver at either JM Bullion or Provident Metals without having to use a bank account. This is the best part of it for me, that no bank entity is involved!

Hope some of you got some use out of this!

Very good Idea although what I would say is that you can actually get Bitcoin or crypto debit cards now.

I personally use cryptopay which allows me to transfer bitcoin into fiat currency at any time. This is another method of buying physical gold or silver.

Very nice, will have to look into this. :)

I didn't know there was this fee to order the card. Do you know what the transaction fee is?

Here's all the fees you need to know about.

Also if you use the refferal program like I've been doing you get a cut of the fee when someone uses the card which is very handy.

Click on the image and it'll take you to the order card page :)

My savings are 1500 USD, I feel very poor.

1500 is very good \o/ , im happy when i find a penny on the floor :)

Very nice portfolio your building

That's awesome man, very cool to be able to cash out Steem for silver. We are actually considering trying out some transactions directly from Steem to Silver.

Really?

Great info! Thanks vegansilverstack... now where do i get one of those cool steem 1oz coins?
Cheers

I don't know but you let me know if you find out!

wow, you know how to live... damn

Buying silver is a great idea. Great instructional video.

I agree with this!! :D

Great info. I have to look into the Exodus wallet and research some of the info shared in the comment section. Excluding the banks for a pm purchase is something I am definitely interested in. RS, UV...thx for sharing.

Exactly!

Tysm for this info, i have been collecting silver when i can over the last couple of years, both in small bullion form and also the older coins and this advice fits nicely for me for the future so thanks again.

good idea, I started 2 months ago too ... I need to pace myself! (-:

Great but the exodus wallet has no charge?

It's free to have, but there are transfer fees as with any other wallet or exchange. I would prefer to pay with Litecoin or Ether because these fees are much lower than Bitcoin's fees. But I think with the adoption of SegWit in the coming weeks, we will see Bitcoin's fees drastically be lowered :)
