I've only gone and done something stupid!

OK I'll get straight to the point. This involves the person I got as my secret silver santa. It might turn out all OK but I thought I would confess my sins in advance and let you, my peers, judge me on my stupidity.

OK, OK. If you haven't already guessed. I've been to Royal mail HQ sorting office because I made a boo boo!!

Allow me to explain. Unless you've had your head in a cardboard box for the last few weeks, we have tried to organise a "secret silver santa" swap for Christmas. Basically everyone who joined had to send a fellow member an Oz of silver. Well I posted mine out on Saturday but with a shock realisation this morning that I probably have under paid on the postage. Ohh poop!!

I had weighed out the envelope, coin and Christmas card I was sending then wrote the delivery address and put more than enough postage to cover costs and there it sat for a day or two. At the Last minute I was feeling a little more generous and added a few extra items (nothing too fancy), before sealing the envelope and setting off for the post office. The post office was 10deep,full of old grannies and the like, plus I was in a rush. Since I had already put my stamps on it, I placed it straight in the post box outside.

OK can you see where I screwed up?? The extra items took it, in my estimation about 30grams over weight and I under paid by about £0.18/$0.11. So I once again set off, this time for the main depo. I pleaded with the women in the sorting office depo to let me have my parcel back and to allow me to correct my mistake by adding another stamp. But she just smiled, rubbed her hands together and told me the recipient would have to pay the difference.

So this is a promise to my secret santa. If you get a missed delivery/under payment please go sign for it, its from me. I will refund anything you are out of pocket. You can have sbd, steem, PayPal, cash, cheque.... I'll even send carrier pigeon if you want. I'm so sorry, this idea was my baby and everyone else has come good and it's me that's screwed up. SORRY

If for some miraculous reason, the delivery company decide to allow it as a good will Christmas gesture, ignore everything I just said and enjoy your gifts 🎅🎅🎅🎅
