SketchCrazed – surreal, lurid, unzipped

SketchCrazed is an opportunity for me to share the very strange drawings I do. The common thread is in the attempt to explore new relationships of form, contrast, and pattern, and to see where they take me.

Syntropy – the universal organizing principle

In Roberto Assagioli’s book The Act of Will, he writes of syntropy as negative entropy, which he refers to as “unity in diversity.” The human body functions as a unified organism.

Buckminster Fuller describes it like this “My continuing philosophy is predicated, first, on the assumption that in counterbalance to the expanding universe of entropically increasing random disorderliness there must be a universal pattern of omnicontracting convergent, progressive orderliness, and that man is that anti-entropic recording function…”

I'd like to think my drawings are syntropic in nature, having some kind of organizing principle in the divergence of shapes, lines and color.

This is my original drawing. I then scanned the drawing and added color in Photoshop.
