Hi, Steemers!
It's not usually that teams in Formula 1 are selling and buying drivers just like in football or soccer (in USA).
Williams F1 team is using Mercedes's engines and they have to pay millions$ for it. So let's say they gave them their first driver instead of money or it was partly deal. They also had to call Felipe Massa out of retirement to replace Bottas.
At least bunch of stories related with Rosberg's replacement are over. Now we all know that Bottas is a new Mercedes F1 team's driver.
Formula 1 is sport with large sums of money. Nobody knows (for now) what is his salary. At least they don't have to pay Rosberg but money is not their problem. They have it, a lot.
What about Williams F1 team? They signed teenager Lance Stroll for this season. They needed experienced driver so they called Massa out of retirement. They need any kind of results in 2017 to keep their title sponsor Martini.
Massa had plans for racing in 2017 but not in F1 so that was like a gift from heavens for him. It must be said also that Bottas was in Williams last seven seasons and this was chance of lifetime for him because Mercedes F1 team is somenthing you can not reject easily. He had nine podiums with Williams F1 team.
Massa has 11 wins in 15 F1 years.
Follow me if you want, I follow back (just write it in the comments).
Cheers!
