The most anticipated transfer deal in European football over the last 5 months, involving former Chelsea attacking midfielder and Belgian star, Eden Hazard, was completed few days ago. In a deal that has been subject to so much speculation towards the later end of the European league season, the Belgian captain, completed his move to Real Madrid in a deal that could rise to over £150 million.
Chelsea had been aware of interests for the Belgian star, especially from Real Madrid, since the 2017/2018 season. The 28-year old attacking midfielder had also indicated at intervals, his desire to play for the Spanish giants at some point in his career.

With the dream being a boyhood dream of Eden Hazard, it is no surprise that Real Madrid have eventually gotten their man. The Spanish giants, over the years, have become accustomed to getting any player they show interest in. This time however, they've paid an initial £89 million for the star.
But according to reports the deal could earn Chelsea a further £60 million in bonuses and add-ons; in a deal that could well be over £150 million.
Eden Hazard over the last six seasons has been an integral member of the Chelsea side that has won the league twice, the Europa league twice, the FA Cup, and the League Cup.

Since his arrival at the club, despite an initial interest from Manchester United in the former Lille star back in 2012, he has gone on to become a Chelsea club legend in his own right. In the Premier League standings, he is considered the third most prolific player in Chelsea’s history (behind Frank Lampard and Didier Drogba) – having been involved in 201 goals for Chelsea; scoring 110 and assisting 91.
Eden Hazard has over the last six seasons at Chelsea, been crowned the club’s Player of the Year on four different occasions.

With a remarkable 110 goals in 352 games for Chelsea the attacking midfielder has shown that Chelsea would be losing a great player; while Real Madrid are gaining a phenomenal player. His contributions on the field of play have been nothing short of dazzling. Besides scoring goals and creating some, Eden Hazard is a very skillful midfielder, with a creative vision and speed.
He has been a match winner for Chelsea time-and-time again, over the last six seasons. Eden Hazard has single-handedly turned the outcome of games around; a feat that has earned him quite a cult following. His superb performance including two goals in the victory over Arsenal in the final of the just ended Europa league, confirms his status as a Chelsea great.

In a farewell message to Chelsea, the fans, his teammates and staff; Hazard has thanked everyone that has contributed to his success and development as a player and to the trophies he won with the club. Chelsea will now have to deal with the absence of such a talented and remarkable player, for the coming season, given the fact that the club has been banned from signing any players for the next two transfer windows till the end of January 2020.
The club’s initial appeal to the football’s governing body was unsuccessful; and despite their renewed attempt to seek redress at the Court of Arbitration for Sport, the club knows that they are losing a phenomenal player in Eden Hazard.
How will Chelsea cope without their mercurial star, Eden Hazard? We will definitely find out in the coming seasons.

During the presentation of Hazard on Bernabeu the funniest thing was kissing the badge of Real, when he repeatedly kissed Chelsea's badge.

At least hazard left in a classy manner. Not like Courtois.
