The 2018 NCAA Tournament is now down to the Final 4 and the action will get started on Saturday night in San Antonio, Texas when the #11 Loyola Chicago Ramblers take on the #3 Michigan Wolverines. The game tips off at 5:09pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on National Television on TBS. It will take place at the Alamodome. Michigan is favored by 5.5 points and the over/under is 129.5 points.

The Loyola Chicago Ramblers made it here after an impressive 78-62 win over the Kansas State Wildcats last Saturday. The controlled the game from the tip and there was never any doubt that they would be moving on. Senior guard Ben Richardson would lead the way with a career high 23 points on 6-7 shooting from the 3 point line. Marques Townes would be next on the team with 13 points. The Ramblers would shoot 50% from downtown as a team and that was the difference.

The biggest star of the 2018 NCAA Tournament hasn’t been a player though. The 98 year old Chaplin of the Loyola Chicago Ramblers, Sister Jean, has stolen the show. She has been featured during every game and has been the focal point of the teams success. When she was asked on air what she gave up for Lent, she simply replied, “Losing.” It was the quote of the year in the world of college basketball and one that has so far proven true.

The Michigan Wolverines enter Saturday’s match-up after winning a close game against the Florida State Seminoles 58-54. Charles Matthews led the team in scoring with 17 points and Mortiz Wagner added 12 points. It was more of a defensive battle though and the Wolverines won the turnover battle which was key.

Saturday night’s game is going to be a slow paced and half court game. Which ever team can be the most efficient on the offensive end will come out ahead. I know who I am rooting for. Sister Jean.
