NCAA Tournament Sweet 16 Preview: Michigan vs Texas A&M

The #3 Michigan Wolverines take on the #7 Texas A&M Aggies on Thursday night in the second week of the 2018 NCAA Tournament. The game tips off at 6:37pm Central Standard Time and can be seen on National Television TBS. It will take place at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, California. Michigan is favored by 2.5 points and the over/under is 136.5 points.

Michigan is coming off of a DRAMATIC win over the Houston Cougars. In 99% of the time, a team would not be able to escape with a win under these circumstances, but here is what happened. Houston took a 62-61 lead with 44 seconds left. Michigan failed to score and sent Houston’s Devin Davis to the free throw line with 24 seconds left. Davis only made one out of two and gave the Cougars a 63-61 lead. The Wolverines again could not make a shot and Davis grabbed the rebound with just 6 seconds left. He would run the clock down to 3 seconds before Michigan could foul him. All Davis had to do was hit these two free throws and the game was over, but he bricked them both and Michigan’s Jordan Poole nailed a 30 foot jumper at the buzzer to get the 64-63 win!

Shockingly, Texas A&M won in the most comfortable fashion over the weekend. They laid the damn beat down on the defending champion North Carolina Tar Heels. The 86-75 victory showed the world how good this Aggie team is. They have two of the best big men in the country and will give Michigan all they can handle.

I think that this will be the best game of the night. Both teams are full of talent and energy and thrilled to be alive still in the Sweet 16.
