It all came spontaneously... I was chatting with @irelandscape and @dexterdev when suddenly we've got an epiphany: why not promoting https://www.stemq.io/ by answering ResearchGate Questions? Immediately after, I asked @justtryme90 how about making posts based on RG Questions and promoting https://www.steemstem.io - he agreed.
So let's start with the first one. I will boost my RG Score a bit, I will sharpen my mind - and I will do something useful for our community *(I hope so...)
> In and EPR calibration (intensity-concentration) , what does the slope mean?
Before you start
- check if the cavity is clean, try without the sample
- use the temperature controller (not obligatory)
- be sure that your sample is not changing its shape/volume/consistency
If it evaporates/shrinks, it will change the tune, and if the tune is changed - the intensity will be different.
Be sure that it's still liquid when you are changing concentration because otherwise, you can expect anisotropy and the width of your signal (integral as well) will be seriously affected.
- Modulation amplitude must be optimal. If the value is too big, signal width will be wrong. If it's too small, your peak will be too narrow
- Microwave power, very important. If you saturate it, the response will not be linear.
- play with iris, apply the same tune every time
- if the sample is solid, make it similar, every time.
- Check if your tubes are the same and that the positioning inside the cavity is the same

What we would need is some kind of RG plugin... An automatical link between the two platforms... think about it... also RG would benefit from being able to really reward good question answers.

You are reading my mind :D
That could release unimaginable potential
At this point, I would like to see the reactions.
When I joined Steemit, I expected that at some point leaders will make some sort of partnership with a larger community/ website/ company... But it never happened. Why? I don't know...
Imagine Free Steemit accounts with 100(0) Power, connected to RG, given to all the profiles with RG Score >50. Congratulations, the smartest people on Earth know what Steem is. What a marketing tool.
But no... Let's make perpetuum mobile, vote-4-vote, self-voting, bid-bots and other crap. If at least they supported several hot Instagram girls...

Sad but true... There's so much that could be done. Especially with Insta chicks.
Jokes aside: others will fill in the gap at some point. Do you know SciPinion? They are offering researchers 1000-3000$ for some hours of reviewing big pharma/toxicology projects. Combine that with blockchain... boom.

Awesome idea. I've seen a few good questions on research gate, but never bothered answering because...well because I didn't care too much about research gate:P
I better go see if I remember my password still.

I was very excited about RG while I was a PhD student, but I've completely neglected it in the past few years.
According to Alexa, it's incredibly popular:
In comparison to Steemit
Steemit is more engaging, but the number of users is low

If we take this seriously... I think that 5-10 people can make an incredible difference
