Oumuamua, the interstellar visitor

Oumuamua is the first interstellar asteroid found in our system. Until then, astronomers had suspicions about the existence of these visitors although they had never been studied. The existence of this asteroid was the confirmation they needed.

The most curious fact about Oumuamua is that it is 10 times longer than it is wide, the exact way that an extraterrestrial craft should have to avoid friction or damage to the stardust. On the other hand, it is known that the asteroid is made of solid materials. Until now, it was believed that they were stones, but it is not ruled out that they are metals.

Oumuamua, extraterrestrial ship?

The investigation will be carried out by the company Breakthrough Listen, financed by the Russian billionaire Yuri Milner and supported by the astrophysicist Stephen Hawking. The idea is to conduct studies on the asteroid to rule out it being an alien spacecraft.

The studies will be carried out through sound studies. The company will try to listen to sounds coming from the asteroid ship through 4 frequency bands. If the asteroid were really a ship of other intelligent civilizations, we should hear sounds.

If indeed Oumuamua were an extraterrestrial craft, this finding would mark a before and after in our history. We would confirm, finally, that we are not alone in the universe.
